BCR Greg Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 Next project, the equally patient Sir Doogie's snapped head B12S..... Well, at least mine's appreciating . . . Yeah, how 'bout that!!!!! Badger has a guitar in progress as well. Along with 30-40 others that have patiently been waiting. What I need to to get cloned.....
cordroad Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Two of you? I don't think so, Tim (in Al Borland's best Tool Time voice) LOL, baby, you are the King Shiz!
BCR Greg Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 Bump because the guitar showed up again....http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=2542439
chap Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Anyone else just look for "BCR Greg" on a message thread and automatically open it without even reading the thread title?
gorch Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Bump because the guitar showed up again....http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=2542439 According to the serial number it looks like it's being a 1998?! Single custom order or result from a tesselation? At least the bridge humbucker has been replaced.
cmatthes Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 It was a stock 1998 Phantom with the aftermarket customization done as documented.I truly hope that the seller didn't spend $1,500 on that one though, even though he's asking that much (I'll be shocked if he gets anywhere near that for a modded '90s Phantom!).That was a model that simply did not sell. I remember dealers blowing out Phantom Customs like that one for $350-$400 and the regular Phantoms for around $300 by the end of that run and for years afterwards.
BubbaVO Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Yes. I do look for the BCR threads. I loved the shots of the repair work. And I can't believe the Phantoms didn't sell. Nice shape, nice finish, nice woods, and a wide tonal range. In the end, it seems that most guitar players are looking to sound like someone else rather than forge their own sound. Music for the masses means Gibson/Fender.
bubs_42 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I'm lusting for that guitar, I am a believer about the Prototype, Phantoms. Even thought that style wasn't popular I think they hit a home run with that guitar. With the BCR upgrades with would be the ultimate gigging guitar.

cmatthes Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 The good news is that he'll get to enjoy it for many years to come at that price.
pfxc Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I've seen this guitar for sale on TGP for months. I think the gentleman indicated that he wanted to sell as he was relocating from PA to Washington State.
