Poe's massive gear sale

Ok....family business has forced me to sell everything non-essential. I will give you guys first shot before I put the adds on TGP. It breaks my heart to do this but family is more important than gear so here it goes. All prices are negotiable, please feel free to make reasonable offers. Trades only considered if I think I can more the piece easier...ie Fender, Gibson, or PRS stuff...

Contact me at edgarallanpoe@verizon.net

1. Fargen Bordeaux Custom Shop Bordeaux Head - The second best amp I have ever heard. The first is staying with me. This has been my main gigging amp for some time now and it absolutely slays when you crank it. Cathode Biased EL34 with reverb, 40 watts, 2 channels, Hunter green with cream face and black chickenhead knobs. It has one small ding on the front that happened when the front door to the Hard Rock Cafe hit it. Other than that, it is very clean. Ben only builds this model on a custom order basis and it runs around $2700. IMHO it is worth every penny. You guys know how much gear I have gone through in the past years, since I have found these amps I have no desire to use anything else. I bought JeffRs Boogie because this was going back to Ben to get a effects loop and some other mods done. I will now keep the Boogie to gig with and I know that it will be a drastic step down, but such is life. $1700 OBO I also have a blond tolex 2x12 Fargen combo cabinet that can be used to convert this head into a combo if that is your thing.

2. Ramirez Classical guitar - Wonderful classical guitar made with killer stripped mahogany back and sides and a cedar top. Guitar has some issues but sounds wonderful. The neck has been reset and it has been refretted. It also has had two small cracks in the top by the fretboard repaired. All the work was done by a pro and the guitar is now structurally fine. These sell new for around $1400, I will let this one go for $500 obo.

3. Boss BR900CD digital recorder. Perfect condition with original box and upgraded 1gig card. These are $700 new without the 1gig card. $Sold.

4. Original Matchless Hotbox and Trem pedals. Both are in spectacular condition and sound killer, but I won't need them with the Trem-o-verb on the way. The Hotbox has some minor cosmetic damage to the power cord but it is cosmetic only and has no effect on functionality. Under normal circumstances, I would offer these for exactly what I paid for them, but I can't do that at this time. Please accept my apologies but I need to get what I can out of these. $Sold for the hotbox and $300 for the trem. TREM STILL AVAILABLE!

5. Breedlove USA Koa 12 string Jumbo. The pics speak for themselves. The only issue is a scratch behind the bridge that is only visible from certain angles. It was there when I bought the guitar and hasn't bothered me one bit. My guess is that it happened when changing the strings. Breedlove uses a pinless bridge system and if you aren't careful, the strings can scratch the top when you are threading them through the rear of the bridge. The cost of Koa has gone through the roof, and this guitar would cost you a fortune if you were to buy it new. Fishman Pro blender electronics. 2K

6. Breedlove Ed Gerhardt.... not sure at this time if I will sell this, but drop me a line if you are interested. I need to see how my Collings sounds with the piezo installed. One small ding in the top, other than that it is extremely clean and is a spectacular sounding guitar. Stka top with IRW back and sides. Fishman Pro Blender electronics. 2K but again...this might have to stay.

I said non-essential. LOL!! My Hubers are my last two electrics. Unless I want to detune on the fly at a gig, which I don't, they stay. LOL!!!

Is that the long-head Bordeaux (like your 6L6), or newer short head?

I have the first EL-34 Bordeaux Ben built, and I can tell you folks, as Poe said, it just slays. He builds some very special amps.

Here are the pics of the Ramirez. The cracks in the top are located right next to the fretboard. It really doesn't effect anything and they have been repaired professionally. A previous owner is one of the best luthiers in Pittsburgh and he did the work himself. You can see from the pics of the rosette that the repair was extremely well done and you can hardly see the cracks. The figured mahogany on this guitar is really awesome, as is the extremely thick ebony board.

I owned this beauty for a while. Very warm and balanced tone, aging nicely, great classical without dropping several grand.

Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
