Hamer Special, 2 Duncan p90s, tv yellow (or snot green, depending on your POV), some hameritis around the neck joint. This has been just sitting since I got a three p90 HFC Korina guitar and a 59 Les Paul Junior, as I will now reach for those when looking for a p90 flavor. With Hamer case. Bottom latch on the case is shot.

SOLD, thanks Hollowskull.

Nice price. ;)

My wife already said 'no'.;)

I'll never ask again....... :D

It's also called baby-poop yellow; I've got a phantom from that mid-90s time in that color, as well as a burst P90 just like that.

That's a KILLER guitar for a KILLER price.

If hollow doesn't snap it up, what's the neck like on it?

I happen to like that color and would buy it if it wasn't a freakin' '93!*

*There is nothing wrong with 1993 Hamers, I just prefer bigger necks. Few '93's have them and I think I've had one '93 with a neck approaching what I'd like. The rest were too skinny for me.

Oh shit Scott, I just noticed it's you. Make Matt buy it. By the way, you're probably $100 under market and I've seen them go for $650.

Sorry guys, Scott's a friend.

Thanks David, I know it is a bit low, but I got it years ago on a good deal, am looking for a quick sale. I did not know they were at 650 though, I figured 500 to 525 was the going rate.

I bought a '92 last month off ebay for $655. It was equipped with Fralins. It was in very good shape and came with the case and the original SD p 90s and two other p90s. $450 was a good price five years ago.

I sold two 93's, one TV and one FM and $550 shipped was the most I could get out of either one them.

$450 is a damn good price for one.

So don't buy Hamers for their resale value because your going to lose money.

Don't worry guys, if for some reason I don't bond with the neck profile or the weight/balance of this guitar, I'll offer it up here first with a similar killer price (just basically to clear what I have into it) and keep it in the HFC. Still, I optimistacally await it in hopes it doesn't have the toothpick thin neck my 92' cherry red Special did (medium & up neck...good; toothpick thin...no good for me). :D That was a great guitar that finances and a WAY thin neck forced me to sell so this one will hopefully end the TV Yellow G.A.S. I've been having

Scott's a great guy. Plays in a band with a close friend in New York City called White Collar crime. I think he's the only HFCer to actually see me play one of my crazy gigs at Put In Bay. Too bad he had to leave the island so early that night!

Congrats on the sale man!! I have owned 3-1993 Special HB`s and 2 of them had the skinny necks and one, a late 1993 had the medium neck. Great price. Jack.

I disagree. I have NEVER lost money on a Hamer. I've sold several for what I paid for them to other HFCers, but I've never lost money on one. I suppose the trick is to not overpay and $450 for one of these is not at all overpaying!

I agree that $450 is a great price.

Ask somebody with a custom ordered B4M about resale value of Hamers. (not mine)

I'm not saying they are not worth what they cost, I'm just saying (IMO) resale value sucks.

Just a thank you to threehole for the quick shipping and the nice packing of the guitar. Scott's a stand up guy. The guitar is in nice shape, but the jury is out on whether or not I'm bonding with the neck profile. Not the pencil thin toothpick my 92' Special was (thank God!) but still on the slightly slender side of mid-90's Hamer medium C. I've got a gig coming up this weekend so I'll see how it feels after a set or two and if I decide to sell, it'll be offered up to the HFC first. For someone who likes the slimmer medium/thin but not toothpick-thin necks so common on the early 90's Specials, it would be a perfect blues/rock guitar. I sure do like the sound and color a lot though...so don't count on it to show up on the for sale block after the gig
