elduave Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Lacuna Coil is doing an Ovation "Unplugged" thing at our store on April 10th @ 4pm. Although it's not really my thing musically, it's the kind of thing we want to do at our store. Locals, tell your kids!
jisham Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Way cool Dave. I saw them open for Rob Zombie at the 930 club a year or so ago. Not my thing either but good for what they do. Nice score...

elduave Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 That's freaking COOL! How long have you had Ovation stuff?Comes in the Kaman package of goodness so, since day one. FRG's (factory reconditioned guitars) are a steal...
Jones Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Cool! I saw them on the Zombie tour last year as well - good band and Christine Scabbia (I think that's her name) is hot! We will require pics!

elduave Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 The event went well. About 140 people attended, the band was great and super nice, and I feel like we did something good for area music fans, while raising the profile of the store. As expected, we didn't sell jack SO, $100 off in-stock USA Ovations if anyone's lookin' (SHAMELESS plug). What sucks is, I didn't take any pics, just video of the performance. It was too much of a madhouse and I just never had the still camera handy. Plenty of other folks took pics so hopefully some will turn up. It was ALOT of work, and I'd do it all again.
lonechicken Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 So did you initiate this with Kaman or did they offer it up?
elduave Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 So did you initiate this with Kaman or did they offer it up?Kaman (and other companies) sometimes synch up their Artist Relations to work out marketing/promotional opportunities with their endorsers, and at times, in-stores and clinics are offered. Rocketeria (being in touch with the local audience) saw a great opportunity to bring something special to the community.Copyright 2007 Bloated-Attorney.com.
elduave Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 Pics are trickling in. Here's Lacuna Coil with most of the Rocketeria gang and Steve Spak from Kaman.
