Riffmonger Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I removed the original post, because I could see this was turning into the typical HFC "for sale" thread. The guitar is available at $2750 shipped via FedEx "Overnight" to the lower 48 ONLY. If you are interested please email me at riffmonger@chartermi.net and I will send you a complete description and pics of the guitar.
RacerX Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 When you see that word, you remember the guitar. One of the standout custom orders of the last few years. My wife is not a big standard fan (I know, I know) but when I was reading some Std porn thread a few months back she stopped in her tracks and said, "Now That, is a great looking one" (you married guys know what a big deal that is LOL). I'm sure it will find a good home.Mark.
gregc Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I love the guitar.... but for the skull thingys. note to self: sometimes going out on a limb with the custom order can make resale dicey. (make sure she's gonna be a keeper).I'm sure this one will >>>>>go. Lotsa kids seem to like the skull thingys. I see skull knobs and all kinds of shit over at my local dealer. That's a beautieful guit-box.gregc

DavidE Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 So, did it sell or did you pull it?That guitar is a stand-out. A VERY memorable guitar. The top is insane, the inlays are spectacular. It's one of those guitars that's worth the premium if you have it to spend. Stunning is probably a good word to describe it.
gregc Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I removed the original post, because I could see this was turning into the typical HFC "for sale" thread. Wassamatter with the typical HFC for sale thread? I buy & sell a lot of guitars that way. Any-hoo, good luck with the sale. It appears there's a gonna be a waiting-line to take this one!Greg C
Jack C Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I removed the original post, because I could see this was turning into the typical HFC "for sale" thread. I have no idea what that means. If you don't want commentary, don't post a for sale ad on a discussion forum.
Riffmonger Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 I knew the $350 club wouldn't let me down! Thanks for the bump!
black magic Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Riff, that is a sweet Standard bro!! Good luck. Jack.
wyldbil Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Had I the dough, it would be on the way to Tennessee. *sigh*Hope you find her a good home Riff.
Armitage Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 It kills me when guys get such cool but personal guitars, then they sell them a short while later... I don't get it.
MCChris Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 It kills me when guys get such cool but personal guitars, then they sell them a short while later... I don't get it. Cue Turbo Gerbil's lecture on personal finances LOL!

Armitage Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 It's such a beautiful guitar, it's not like it came out goofy. But the things that make it special to the fellow who ordered it, doesn't nessisarily make it special to anyone else. It's another used Standard Custom to me $wise.

The upgraded top and inlays alone make the guitar worth of a higher than "normal" price.
Armitage Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Obviously not to gregc who doesn't like those cool inlays.
DavidE Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Obviously not to gregc who doesn't like those cool inlays. You're not making sense. If GregC doesn't like the inlays, he won't buy the guitar. But I'm sure even he understands that custom inlays like that make the guitar more valuable than a "run of the mill" Hamer Standard Custom.
Kilroy is all about... Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 GOOD NEWS FOR BOTH PARTIES!!! Thanks for the calls..rm. kilroy posts.
