DavidE Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 DavidE: Looks to me that you were taking the high road in your emails. It almost sounds like all you were asking was for him to admit he understated the condition. You never even asked for a refund or anything!I know, it's shocking to everyone here.
DavidE Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 And the latest from my new friend:"hey do you even play guitar?do ebay a favor go toyour local guitar center & wank with the rest of yourwanker friends.i can see it now with your hi poweredcamera look theres fingerprints on this 1.wait oh nosomeone played this 1 oh my god!!!then you can playstairway to heaven or eruption or try to anyway.wanker p.s. i'll leave you a great feedback 2.how manyother ebayers have you screwed trying to save moneyaswhole ---"_______________________________________________And my response:Take a look at the feedback I've left for others. This is a rare thing for me.I play. 3 gigs this weekend. When I sell guitars I give detailed and accurate descriptions of the guitars I sell.I probably wouldn't have left negative feedback for you if you hadn't been such an ass after the sale.
DavidE Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 This guy is a peach!yeah right where do you play in your living roomwith your wanker friends sipping wine with your10,000 pixel camera taking pics of your guitars?totell you the truth when i bought this guitar i was alittle disappointed with the discription about theding on the side but i still left a pos. feedback backbecause i played the guitar & forgot about the looks-----------------------------------------------------------im sure you were waiting for me to offer you $$back.im sure youve done it before but other ebayerswere worried about neg. feedback so they gave inanyone who looks at your pics of my guitar will knowwhat an ass you are.i would have rather given it awaythen to sell it to you____________________________________________Sorry guys, I hope I'm done posting, but isn't this a blatant admission since he says somewhere above that he used basically the same description from the auction where he bought the guitar???"to tell you the truth when i bought this guitar i was alittle disappointed with the discription about theding on the side but i still left a pos. feedback backbecause i played the guitar & forgot about the looks"
Guest pirateflynn Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Send him the pics of the "bikini clad mudwresting babes". No way your wife would allow that in the living room.
MCChris Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I don't care if people are sick of me saying it.eBay sucks. No piece of gear—actually, NOTHING—is worth the possibility of a scumbag like this coming into your life.
elduave Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Damn. What a douche that guy is. I need to put him on my blocked list.
cmatthes Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 That kind of response/reaction just CONFIRMS to me that the guy knows he's in the wrong. Sounds oddly familiar...
hamertek98 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Are ya gonna rent a Magnum and take another "vacation"? This time to CT? We want pics!Joking aside, I've bought guitars listed in good condition that were in better shape. The edges on the headstock shoulda been disclosed, too. Dings and gouges are not the same.
Willie G. Moseley Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Proclaiming that an instrument is "mint for its age" is like proclaiming that an overweight person is "wide for his/her height"
jerseydrew Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I'd still call Amex and give him a hard time. He's got balls!
DaveL Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I'd still call Amex and give him a hard time. He's got balls! me too, I'd submit a paypal claim as well and putin that you paid via amex, that'll probably get paypal'sattention. and save all your little emails from the prick...
GusS Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 automated outcome for paypal claim for misrepresentation = he'll have to return the guitar on his dime for a refund
DavidE Posted December 14, 2007 Author Posted December 14, 2007 It's not worth my time or Karma to give the guy a hard time, though I could deprive him of his money for a while.
edgar_allan_poe Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 though I could deprive him of his money for a while....During the holidays...ouch. IMHO he deserves it for his reaction to your questions. We reap what we sow. F him
Craig S Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 David E, Let's talk about about those drums I bought from you! Just kidding of course. I've gotten to the point I hate dealing on Ebay anymore. I've had two sour amp deals in the last couple of years combined with the bite that Ebay and Paypal take out, it's just not that mych fun anymore. I use it as a last resort.
