cmatthes Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Very impressive. I'd love to snag that one, but have a feeling it's probably already on its way to a new owner!
Steve Haynie Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Between this and the Virtuoso on eBay it is everything a shredder could want in one week.
mc2 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Seller says he got too many calls and is going to list it on Ebay instead.
veatch Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Seller says he got too many calls and is going to list it on Ebay instead. For $2k, i'm amazed it didn't sell day one. Any bets on what it will bring in on feeBay? And Mark, you should get it just to have a matched set with your Cali...
RacerX Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 And Mark, you should get it just to have a matched set with your Cali... Yea, you are probably right.... But I'm suposed to be selling stuff, not buyn' Mark.
veatch Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 ...and the eagle has landed on feeBay...Cali Doubleneck
Disturber Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 ...and the eagle has landed on feeBay...Cali Doubleneck "Hammer Californian Double Neck"
tobereeno Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 mine!! motherfucker! I can't bid because I'm out of the States! Shit! Shit! Shit! what do I do?????
cmatthes Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 mine!! motherfucker! I can't bid because I'm out of the States! Shit! Shit! Shit! what do I do????? How 'bout cleanin' out that mouth there, Sailor! Actually, I'm sure that there is probably somebody here in the States who would be the willing recipient of that one on your behalf!
tobereeno Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 AFAIK that's the only other Jim O'Connor Cali doubleneck. There's the Fath doubleneck, but that's not much artwork. And there's the Maestro snakeskin doubleneck, but that's not a Californian.I hadn't checked this board in months, the Hand of God must have led me to check today!I wonder if all the LEDs work.
SCARECROW Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 AFAIK that's the only other Jim O'Connor Cali doubleneck. There's the Fath doubleneck, but that's not much artwork. cmatthes Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Short of the Ed Roman Maestro, I don't believe any of those made are for sale. You can count the production of those on the fingers of one hand, if not your thumbs.
SCARECROW Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 OK, WHAT IS THE RANGE THIS CALI DOUBLE SHOULD GO FOR CONSIDERING IT'S FAIR CONDITION ?
RacerX Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 OK, WHAT IS THE RANGE THIS CALI DOUBLE SHOULD GO FOR CONSIDERING IT'S FAIR CONDITION ? $350.00 + $350.00 = $700.00 I don't know..."Granit" could get pretty heavy... Mark.
cmatthes Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 More than the current price on eBAY. I'd drop @$2k for it right now without blinking.
SCARECROW Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I WOULD REALLY RATHER FIND A SINGLE USA CALI ?WHAT IS THE BEST CALI EVER MADE ?GOT ANY LINKS FOR RESEARCH ON VARIATIONS & SUCH ?
tobereeno Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 $2600 is a VERY reasonable price for that - I would have budgeted $3k, maybe $3500 if I had been serious about buying it. Hope it went to a good home! I kinda wish I had it, but then I've got my own, and I haven't had the energy to buy a guitar in literally years - I've got to do the wiring all over, install Sperzels, set up the guitar exact just so, etc. Takes a lot of work to make a guitar a Toby Guitar!
anotherfreak Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 can you fit Sperzels on a 12 string headstock??
