holLoWskull Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 It's killin' me not to hit the B.I.N., but I really wouldn't play it as I like my 25 1/2 scale guitars better, already have a killer studio, and am running out of guitar space...so here it is (no affiliation to seller):http://cgi.ebay.com/Hamer-USA-Studio-Custo...A1%7C240%3A1318
atquinn Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 They've been trying to sell that for weeks. I guess people are more into Hamer goldtops with P90's or something, because the price has always been good from what I remember (although not that low!).-Austin
Eric Weston Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Dayum...Brooklyn Park MN is 5 min. away from me....
LordOfTheThighs Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Hameritis ... binding has come loose ... binding has turned a shit brown color. Not the best example of HAMER craftsmanship.
Dutchman Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Looks like its got a real bad case of Hameritis also.Heck it would be a great guitar to be used as a stage beater....
tomteriffic Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 The binding and hameritis issues bring it down to where that's probably a pretty reasonable number. OTOH, Goldies with humbuckers are a lot less common than the P-90 ones.

I mean, SERIOUSLY. It looks like it's been living in the trunk of someones' car, in all sorts of weather. That's the only way I can imagine that it got in this condition.

Polara was the owner before me ,I sold it back to him, as I promised him when he got his feet back on the ground . I guess he would know more . I would love to get the guitar back ,and would of used BIN ,but the seller said paypal immediate only !!
JustKid Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 That just kills me. Second time this week I see that. What kind of an idiot would use crazy glue on wood ( and plastic for that matter???) I bought a guitar from the guy and the neck had a small crack during shipping, he said - "use some crazy glue, all the guitar techs do it". Now, either all the guitar techs are idiots, because it's not the first time I hear it, ot there is something wrong with basic gluing education. But there is still hope for this guitar , depending who is gonna win it.
