silentman Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Hey Jack - How about Sevendust or Disturbed?
Disturber Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 This is what you need. New album just out
Steve Haynie Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 This is what you need. New album just out The Crucified Barbara videos are good metal!
Jeroen Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Did someone mentioned Great White here as well??whahahahJeroen
BadAxe Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 If you want some metal of today with decent vocals, I would suggest Bullet For My Valentine (some screaming, but decent meolody), Avenged Sevenfold (again, some screaming), and Primal Fear. 3 awesome metal bands with good vocalists.
jettster Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Don't know if this is what you are looking for but it's pretty heavy grooving with good vocals, they kicked ass when I saw them last year. http://www.mustasch.net/If you like Priest I would strongly recommend Primal fear, I believe he just missed being the singer for priest when they picked up Ripper. I haven't heard anything from Ripper that I like as good as these guys. Ralf Sheepers can bring it for sure vocally. They were phenomenal in concert.http://www.primalfear.de/media.html
zorrow Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Don't know if this is what you are looking for but it's pretty heavy grooving with good vocals, they kicked ass when I saw them last year. http://www.mustasch.net/Gosh! I love that one! THANKS!
woodpile Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 How bout Black Label SocietyZW's vocals are pretty close to JH's.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMDnUrs8knA...feature=related
Brooks Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 watched headbangers ball this weekend. they played a track by machine head called "now i lay thee down" that i dug so much i actually got off the couch and downloaded it from itunes (1st time i've ever done that). i never liked MH's stuff until a few weeks ago when i heard their cover of maidens "hallowed be thy name". older stuff by them had screamed vocals, but these 2 tunes were killer. couldn't find the video i saw, but here's the tune; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGCn4IEv31Y...feature=related they had a few other cool videos, although the music had crappy vocals. there was one by kreator that is the best video manowar never made (dude even looks like eric adams, haha), vikings fighting w/ swords & other such violence, very well shot & cool riffs; my bassist gave me a cd-r copy of the new messuggah cd "obzen". typical horrible modern metal vocals, but this bands riffs and odd meter/syncopated rhythms are quite amazing and very original.
lord nelson Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 The two last Machine Head albums (from the ashes and the blackening) had pretty clean vocals
Arjay Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 IDK But I dont think there is any metal with good vocals
Ethan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 check out saviours and baroness...baroness has vocals a bit more on the rough side but you might like it, their riffs make up for it. saviours has more of an old-school sabbath feel that's updated a bit...sludgy heavy grooves!
