I contacted the seller and he has stated that he does not accept paypal. No paypal, no bidding from me!

I thought you had to allow paypal or some sort of electronic payment option to list on ebay. His shipping/payment options list credit cards as an accepted form of payment. I'm not a big fan of all of ebays new rules, but if you are going to use them, you need to stick to their rules. In fact, he had three one day auctions that completed yesterday and all have been relisted due to a buyer not being able to pay within 3 days. Sounds like he's trying to circumvent the rules about acceptable payment methods through ebay.

He is trying to circumvent e-bays rules...

"I can't take credit cards at the moment - please contact me for other payment options (can't list them here because of lousy ebay's rules)."

He only accepts bank wires, money orders or personal checks.

He's probably on the up and up, but as a buyer and not knowing the seller, I would not take the chance using these types of payments.

The fact that all of the past auctions are marked "Private", coupled with the sketchy feeling I get with all one-day auctions, relisting, some hairy feedback...

I'll pass.

Bidding's not over. I clicked on the top link, not the second link. Sorry about that!

Edited for the truth.

I still see an active auction. $81 with just under 20 hours to go.

I think an HFC'r listed the original auction at $550. I think he also sold a T51 and Special at the same time.

I'm the one who won that auction yesterday.

The original auction stated "payment by credit card," but the seller sent me an invoice saying he would only accept a check or money order. He said something about a dispute with PayPal and said he understood if I wanted to back out of the deal.

I told him I didn't have the cash...which is true...but I didn't get warm and fuzzy feelings about sending a money order to a non-HFC person.

You are correct sir. Sold the Special to an HFCer

I purchased the Daytona from an HFCer.

Roadrunner- are you the one currently running the one day auction? I didn't think it was you on the latest auction. If it is you I think some of the potential buyers here would feel better knowing the seller was one of us.

Yeah, I don't blame you. You probably should have reported it to Ebay too. This whole thing is just too messy.

He has a Zion Strat on there also, that I actually bid on a few days ago, but he has had to relist that multiple times due to the same issues. I think I'm staying away from this guy for now.
