carfish7 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 O.K., so I got this super cool red Vector from our brother Lockbody recently, and 2 things have happened that are forcing a quick turn around. Spring is here and my bike needs some work. 'nuff said, right? And then this; My wife came home early the day I got it and caught me in full-on wailing mode. She saw the guitar, looked up at me, and exclaimed; "You know, that is a beautiful guitar, but some body styles just clash with other body styles - you know what I mean, baby?" I didn't ask her to elaborate. I knew exactly what she meant. Guys hurtling toward 50 with 50 too many extra pounds should NEVER be allowed to strap on a Vee. Just don't do it, o.k.? The shorts probably didn't help, either. Anyways, Bob was cool enough to let me link to all his pics and there are a bunch showing the condition and telling the story of the break and repair. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...c=32816&hl= I'm asking $550 shipped but can only accept a Postal M.O., or if we have done business before I'll take a personal check. I'll keep this here until an HFC'er takes it even if it goes for $350, so you might as well decide who will be its next steward. It rocks hard - too hard in fact in this particular instance or so it seems Last in/first out and more to come soon as I'm going into spring cleaning mode here in the Green Room. Couple more Hamers, some USA Schecter stuff, and all the trimmings coming up, so stay tuned and thanks for looking! CJ Edited to add I can be reached @ 612-703-3990 all day and up till about 9 pm CST.
Steve Haynie Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 You should have looked at your wife with a straight face and said, "I look just fine with this guitar." If she said anything to the contraray you could reply with, "Who are you going to believe? Me or your own eyes?"
Brooks Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 bet you can't wait until she shows you a new bathing suit or dress, ha
velorush Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 bet you can't wait until she shows you a new bathing suit or dress, ha Generally, that sort of 'payback' rarely is (a payback, that is). Yoda say: Careful how satisfaction you define!
BubbaVO Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 bet you can't wait until she shows you a new bathing suit or dress, ha Generally, that sort of 'payback' rarely is (a payback, that is). Yoda say: Careful how satisfaction you define! True dat.
Nuclear Wessel Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 You should have looked at your wife with a straight face and said, "I look just fine with this guitar." If she said anything to the contraray you could reply with, "Who are you going to believe? Me or your own eyes?"Or you could have looked at her and said "Well then step back outside." But I don't think you'd have scored any points with her, and I doubt you'd have seen her in her birthday suit for a long time. Kids, don't try this at home.
zorrow Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I was thinking that exact same thing Zorrow! Yeah! And there was also Poppa Chubby with his signature Epiphone Flying V. He no longer plays it, but this picture speaks for itself:
zorrow Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Z - This guitar would be perfect for you! Well man, lately the "G" in my GAS has moved from "Guitar" to "Gear". Don't get me wrong though; I do love the look of this Vector (as well as the other two Vectors which are around for sale), but my priorities have changed: I already got the P-90's from you, the Piggy-in-a-box pedal I wanted... and getting the right looper is the only thing which is left in my "WTB" list. Also, I have to refinish first the two Vectors which are at Nick's place. So, only after covering all these gear-related pending needs I would consider buying more guitars --my next one should be a Korina Vector, or something like that... I guess I'm getting "wiser"?
carfish7 Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 Bumped with a lower price and a polite request to avoid the drunk posting "I'll take it!".CJ
carfish7 Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 Which bridge pup is in there?I believe it is a Duncan Custom. The stock Hamer/DiMarzio is included as well.CJ
carfish7 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Staying put for now. Thanks for looking.Z
