Hamer Bass Head Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I have way too many basses now, and as cool as it is, it doesn't get the love it deserves. 1992 FBIV Color: tobacco sunburst Inlay: Dot/ebony Comments: black hardware EMGs owned by Johnny Crypt of LA Guns originally made for Blackfoot I changed to "E" tuner to a Hipshot D-tuner, I'll check my parts drawers and include it. Other than the scratch on the headstock between the A and D tuner (see pic) it's in very good condition and it roars. $2500 Postal Money Order plus actual shipping. p.s: maybe anoither 1 or 2 following in a week or so, I haven't made up my mind yet.
cmatthes Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 That is one of my 2 favorite Hamer basses that I've ever played. I was sure that one wasn't going to leave ya, BB! Btw - which goes for more $$, left or right kidneys?

BCR Greg Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 That bass caused me to spend 15 hours on the phone with UPS when it was lost a bunch of years ago.It RULES.
Russ Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 If I were still gigging on bass, I'd hit it without batting an eyelash.
cmatthes Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 What EL said. The sad thing is that this bass plays and sounds better than it looks.
serial Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 A GREAT bass-one of the best. I had it before BB and it was awesome. UPS "lost" it and yes, BCR Greg spent many hours tracking it down (I think it was in St.Louis for a month on its way to NY from PA).
David B Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I had a FB guitar with that same finish. Killer looking bass!
analogsystem Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Just a pickguard away from perfection. I'll bet it plays and sounds much better than the G***** one though!
Hardrockracer Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Nice bass. As always my financial situation does not permit even thinking about a purchase. One thing I noticed looking at the pics and I have seen that on other Hamer basses too: the bridge is placed obliquely. You should think that this shouldn't happen at a company like Hamer.HRR
HamStd Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 --> QUOTE(David B @ Sep 3 2009, 02:22 PM) ← I had a FB guitar with that same finish. Killer looking bass! The Dave B. FB, isn't it special!!!! Reverse headstock with pearloid tuner keys, gold hardware and one screaming pickup. He has the best taste in guitars!!! BillyBob, nice bass, sorry to see you are parting with it!!! Peter.
