Greg,

Please send the Dimarzio you removed from my 79 Sunburst to Tom Terrific.

I'd give you his address, but I know he moved recently.

Tom, please contact me when you receive the PU from Greg.

Thanks in advance for your co-operation, Greg.

HHB from the "other" thread:

Seen it with my own eyes. Shit goes down, some forget some don't.

I guess neither of us do, but show some restraint, I know I do.

Song lyrics if i ever heard 'em!

As for the book, I'll be you eye candy. Can't have your ugly ass on the dust jacket!

Lastly! Expect a big box from me on Friday afternoon. Feel free to snap the headstock off and drive a railroad spike though the spruce top if you need more material for the book.

Greg felt me up after HFC 5. I've never told anyone until now. It took me this long to get past the guilt and realize it's not my fault.

Lucky Bastard. I went to BCR and all I got was a lousy T-shirt.

Yes it was. I heard about what you were wearing. Short shorts about two sizes too small, ass cheeks hanging out the back ... you were asking for it, pally.

Now Chris, you're just upset cause Greg didn't find your Wolfman Jack look appealing. Slut!

Upset? Yes. Surprised? No.

How about a chapter on how to khalerize a vintage 50's les paul? I'm sure you've got one around in the vault you could use. Throw some EMGs in it too with good pics of the process, maybe some schlabotnics if you can scrounge some up.

All kidding aside, I just like to see good pics of whatever repair process you're demonstrating. Even if its something I already know how to do I can still usually learn something from it. I'd actually like to see something on how to block off floating trems like floyds, its something I've always wanted to do but never quite knew the best way to do it. Also, some good set up pics and details would help.

How to improve the action on an acoustic guitar.

How to fix a popped-up fret on those small radius necks (like a P-bass)

The best kind of guitar stand to prevent neck breaks.

Case repairs. I'm serious.

Greg covered that in the photo essay early in this thread...

Edited to add: ooops. I guess it was a different thread with a similar name. I'll be quiet now.

2 words - Reality Show. If they can have half a dozen shows about dysfunctional clowns bolting together kit bikes and cars, why not show REAL craftsmanship with all the gooey bits up close like. You could get some freshly killed plank from a famous touring band's show and have 24 hours to restore it under the stage without being distracted by groupies or your wacky sidekick (to be named later), and then move to the next venue for the new challenge. I once got to watch/help Steve Vai's tech glue a "stunt guitar" back together after Seve smashed it (it was called "Lasher") and toss the discarded bits to the hangers-on when he was done. It was to be sacrificed again the very next day. Cool. TV would make it a little harder to properly display the Boobies, though. Z

Then for chapter 2, restore it all to vintage/stock! That'd cover *all* the bases. Might want to use an Epiphone instead.

Yeah, I knew you were joking. I still think the "Hot Rod It/ Restore It" full circle would be a cool premise for a DIY book. One guitar, everything you need to see.

New here but I've been doing alot of "luthiering" lately so if you have any questions I might be able to help. I do wood/body work, finishes, bridges, necks, tuners and electronics.

I am a proud owner of a Hamer Standard Sunburst Flametop (Korean). Awesome guitar for looks and playability.
