kizanski Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Alright DLR I can't wait to see the main event. 1982 St. Paul Civic Center *sigh* ... Those were the days...
Crimsontider Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Dave seemed about a foot taller back then, even without the hair. But in retrospect his acrobatics were more in line with someone 6 feet or under, which by looking at the concert clips is where they are heading fast!

Steve Haynie Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Wow! Half of the Atomic Punks in that video are now half of Steel Panther.Michael Anthony certainly proves just how much of the credit he deserves for Van Halen's sound.
hikarateboy Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I wasn't there but many of my friends were on Saturday night in St. Paul and all of them including some that don't pay too much attention to performance and are there for the show said. DLRs voice was gone and he had a terrible time singing, was missing notes everywhere and it was very obvious to everyone that he couldn't do it. Maybe someone on the board that is local can verify that. Anyway todays paper speculates that the reason for the break is so Dave can get his voice together. Sounds probably more true than any other story I have heard so far so could be true. However, continuing to July 4th before the break seems like that wouldn't make sense. So for what it is worth just another conspiracy theory.
Armitage Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Update! Eddie Van Halen claims DLR nowhere to be found....
Brentrocks Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Yeah I think I will hold on to my tickets cow now until things are a little more clear.i should hold on to my tix....i have kick ass seats
sirDaniel Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 goodbye from MiNnEsOta. The band is hidden away at the 4 3 2 1 club.
jisham Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I'm keeping my Baltimore tickets at this point for sure. Their DC show this year was amazing and I definitely want to see them again this tour.

They all had great things to say about Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang, but all agreed DLR was a train wreck.
