bubs_42 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 I was 3 feet from the register with a Custom Shop 70's Strat until I realized that I would just be pissing away more money than I needed too. That one's hot! HOT ORANGE LOL
bubs_42 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 You know "Strat" has always interested me? Robin Tonemonger.... Just throwing it out there.

kizanski Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Hey bubs_42 someone here in the Minneapolis area has 2 on CL. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/msg/3607898073.htmlThose Tokai guitars are ok, but they're not examples of Robin Awesomeness. You'd be better off with this one on ebaY.You want a USA Robin made in Houston. This is non-negotiable.
bubs_42 Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 I see Greg also has one, still waiting on Sharkypoo to get back with me as well.
The Shark Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Never heard anything back on the pink Robin. Sorry. If you want the best Strat you can find.......try a Danocaster These two are staying put. They are about $1,800, but they are righteous. Rocketfire pickups are to die for.
bubs_42 Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 I'm going to stay the course. I have a Strat Nailed down if I want it, but i'm going to keep looking for a Robin at this time. Thanks!
G Man Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Jeez, I have Greg's old Ranger with a big old fat, reverse headstocked neck that he personally fretted and finished. Super nice. I have also dropped in some exquisite electric city pickups into her, as I've never really been happy with RioGrandes. Anyway, I figured I would play her last night to see if I could consider parting ways. Sorry to say, that is not going to happen at this time. I can say, however, that your search is worth it, these US Robins are fantastic guitars. Good luck!
foxyguitars Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 best of luck in your search, I have a Robin and they are soooo well built, total sleepers
bubs_42 Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Search is over, however deal is no complete yet and I didn't end up with a Robin. Just some junk
Hbom Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Congratulations! Glad to hear you found one. So what are you going to start looking for now?
kizanski Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Search is over, however deal is no complete yet and I didn't end up with a Robin. Just some junk ...not sure what this means...
stratacus Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 In the event your current deal falls through, a Robin USA Ranger was just listed on eBay with a starting bid of $795
