santellavision Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Nice top on that one! Calling Greg too. He can fix it.
ghamerinfrance Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 It seems we all have the same idea...with the same repair station However, the neck is made in 3 parts and therefore maybe not a 78, I do not see any trace for the Serial number
bubs_42 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Its not a 78 we can tell that for sure. 3 piece neck, Shaller Tuners Metal Plate in the cavity. My 81 had all that and it was 100% stock. I cannot tell in the pictures but it doesn't seem to have the extra 1MM out of the lower horn.
RichRS6 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The lack of a serial number is a little worrying.I'm agreeing with Bubs, its unlikely to be a 78.Short headstock, Schaller tuners and sustainblock bridge all point to it being somewhat later..
bubs_42 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Unless your Jay or someone that can do the work themselves its not a very good investement. Unless you get it for Parts Price.
murkat Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Yes, I am watching it. I need projects to work on.
kizanski Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Yes, I am watching it. I need projects to work on. Trying to get it to you...

rj2858 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 S'what's the problem? Slip the neck back in, couple'a nails, yur good ta go! Maybe a good candidiate to become a 'bolt on' neck.
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I was leading the bid until the end.I think the missing serial number indicates a painted-on serial number stripped off with the paint.
