srmd22 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Big Price Drop: $1800 plus shipping CONUS via Paypal gift process, no returns (been there, done that). This is the guitar I sold a couple of months ago, and then was returned. I have gone back and forth on it, having mixed feeling about selling it, I was kinda glad it came back. But now I am ore motivated to sell, to fund other purchases. In fact I'll be selling a few things. I am much more motivated now, so please feel free to make offers. Some details: This was ordered by the highly respected Badger Dave (from whom I purchased this several years ago) through Wilcut Guitars. Custom Features: - upgraded quilt maple top in transparant purple - ebony fingerbord - bound f-hole - pearl inlay Hamer logo on headstock (custom feature at that time) These are the most recent pics. The only wear is some light pick scratches under the pickups and what you would expect in a very lightly played 2002 instrument. No dents or chips- I think the condition is as good as possible without being new or totally unplayed. (However, I had said "near-mint" last time, and the buyer thought that was overstated, so this is full disclosure).

GLWTS!

django49 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 What I heard was that it was the same color as the wife's hair and she resented the competition.
Studio Custom Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 My wife liked the guitar. I did not feel the condition justified $2,200. The seller wasn't willing to knock $400 off then, so I returned it. Now he is willing. And fwiw the top does not pop in person only in photos. And to clarify the original ad said "dead mint" not near mint.
Thundersteel Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 If I already didn't own one, that one would be on its way to me.
anotherfreak Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........................... f*ck  god I gotta' stay off this board
srmd22 Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Hahah... yes there are a lot of temptations around here.
srmd22 Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Looks like this thing may be going, for a lot less then the asking price - unfortunately the consequences of getting hung up by the last window-shopper/renter/would-be-buyer! Looking for best offers before a deal is done, don't be afraid to lowball, it wouldn't be the first. I am motivated, as I have already made my purchase, now I have to pay for it (should have thought that one out ).
sirskelt Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Ummm yeah, so... it would look really nice next to my custom Duo...
srmd22 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Wow... stunning! Definitely looks like a cousin!
srmd22 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Looks like the deal is done - paid and on it's way out.
marcnorth Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 That is going to look good next to that Duotone!
sirskelt Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I will be having my GF take some photos of my entire stable as soon as this beauty arrives. I wasn't even in the market for a purchase but after seeing the resemblance to my Duo there was no way I could let it get away. Thanks to fruhike for the heads up and srmd22 for the letting the cousin come to stay with a relative!
srmd22 Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 What a lovely couple! And I know they sound even better then they look! I am glad this beauty finally found the right home
