MCChris Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 if anyone wants the ugly truth about ebay..I can make you say>>> whoa! So, what you're saying is, eBay sucks.
cwgatti Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I am looking at Reverb more than ebay. The 3.5% is nice.
Sugartune Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I'm definitely looking at reverb more than ebay. Tired of Ebay's crap and ripoffs. Hope to hear more about reverb as more people get experience with it.
peedenmark7 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I get spam from reverb.com all the time...I'm open to anything that saves me money, but traffic sometimes outweighs savings.
Ting Ho Dung Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I hear they have a For Sale - Wanted Wanted to Buy board on the HFC! you guys dont really want me to post everything here do you..I am not joking about the amount..I am gearwhore I dont want to be a forumwhore too. Why not? Brent does it and we all love him.
Never2Late Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 if only it were that easy..I literally have a old semi trailer packed with gear...actually that is a lie...I have 2 semi trailers worth as I unloaded it once into a cabin and a shed and a garage..before I filled it up again...lots of tube amps...pa gear....recording studio...vintage gibsons Your best approach to this amount of stuff is Shotgun - put together a SINGLE ad with everything, post it HERE, TGP, and perhaps Reverb. Not every seller is going to be on Reverb, in fact a few might not even know its out there. I only found out about it alittle while ago when a certain someone posted their Hamer Standard custom.....and I missed it.

svl Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 An idea- open your own online store/site. Get everything up on there (and add as you uncover), then pimp the website URL out on the TGP, Hamer, etc sites. No fees (aside from Paypal) and easier to control/inventory/remember.

Toadroller Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Free markets let competition serve the greater good, benefitting the consumer.
HAMERMAN Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 You sir truly are a gear whore! :-)Condition means so much with gear so I would say your best bet is to work your way through the gear listing a few items at a time. Take the time to blow off the cobwebs where needed and take very good pictures.
JohnnyThunders Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 yes, sold 3 things on Reverb, they all sold in less than a week. Couple $400 guitars and a Fender amp. Liked the process, cost was less than ebay. Owner contacted me after 3 sale and asked how I liked everything. Nice touch.Have a couple more things Im going to sell when I get around to it.
