Montelovesco Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Ever seen something like this?http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291259709269
ARM OF HAMER Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 When I click on the link whatever it is its not showing up Monty.
kizanski Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 "This listing (291259709269) has been removed, or this item is not available."That didn't take long.
Montelovesco Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 http://www.ebay.de/itm/Hamer-Sunburst-Doublecut-Tribute-gently-aged-/291259709269?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item43d06e7755Sorry. My fault.
coolfeel Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 That looks absolutely idiotic.Chinese?Oh but Chris, it states that it's "gently aged", that has to count for something right?
ARM OF HAMER Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Hamer "Tribute"? By Lutz Guitars. Ah.............I think not!
gorch Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Doesn't look so bad. Might even sound good with a pickup swap. At least pricier than the usual MIK.
JochenP Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Very "suspicious".. "Hamer sunburst USA" at the head...
vitass Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I think this is a chinese Hamer like this one (only 400$)
mc2 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 So.....at least a Chinese guitar manufacturer seems to value the HAMER name.Perhaps they will buy Fender and reissue Hamer.INTERESTING HYPOTHETICAL: If a major Chinese manufacturer decided to offer an "import line," conceivably it could be a U.S. Custom shop....sort of like what ESP or Ibanez used to do. Meaning, in the Twilight Zone future Nu Amerika (after our economy collapses) we could see a new HAMER USA....but would probably be buying them with Chinese Yuans instead of U.S. Dollars. After the U.S. Economy collapses from our massive debt and quantitative easing, it will likely be cheaper to manufacture here than in China....so "U.S. copies" will become the new norm. Ironic, no ? Maybe they will throw in free promo fortune cookies and when you crack them open they will have checkerboard fortunes in them!!
DBraz Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Is this the greatest guitar in the world? Oh no... This is just a tribute.
