iownit4 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 1995 closet queen .. To pretty for me to ..lol all original $1600 shipped ..u know u want it...
tbonesullivan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 ANNND sold! This guitar is awesome! It will be the crown jewel of my Hamer guitar collection, and the centerpiece of my blue guitar and bass collection. I think I may just have to sell any guitar that isn't blue.Anyway, Rob (iownit4) was great to deal with, and local, so it went off without a hitch. This guitar really is killer. The frets look NEVER PLAYED, and this is a 20 year old guitar. Now I just need to figure out whether technically it is an Archtop Custom, or a Studio Custom.
iownit4 Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 Glad you love it , and we kept it in the hfc. ...A+ for Dave would love to do business again..Rob
slipstream Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I'm trying to add to my Hamer collection and would love some expert opinion on the difference between the Studio and Monaco Elite. I picked up my Centaura from a member and love it!
iownit4 Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 There different shaped bodies .. Some one here can tell you all the differences..good luck Rob

I picked up my Centaura from a member and love it!I have thought about getting a Monaco, but I can't get around the "bump" on the neck joint, due to the style of neck joint Hamer uses. Also, I love the studio/special body shape so much, as well as the neck, I don't want to really give up that access. I have two less paul style guitars, and honestly they are enough. I have to remember to send one to murkat one of these days for a new nut and finish repair. totally forgot about that. oops.

It is TRULY a non-issue.

tbonesullivan Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Have you honestly actually played a Monaco, or you just don't like the look? It is TRULY a non-issue.I have not played one. I just need a reason not to buy that Grand Old Opry Monaco III that is sitting at Willcutt's. I shouldn't get it, I've got too many guitars already, I just freakin bought one...But having a unique one of a kind guitar is somewhat appealing, AND it's a Hamer, AND it's BEAUTIFUL.
