Congrats! From what Ive seen online the cleans are spectacular on the Raleigh. Cool amp. Wouldn’t mind having one myself. Carr has a newer 5-watt “Trail Rider” model (with reverb & attenuator) which looks really cool as well, but it’s 3K.

The most I've spent on a guitar was $1800 for my '95 Hamer Korina Standard #46, which was a bucket list guitar for me. I ate Ramen soup for awhile to afford it but I love it, no regrets. It may not sell for that now, but it's not for sale. I do however bequeath it to fellow Daytonian TomTerriffic in case of my untimely demise.

I can't answer the value question but would agree if it's done right it wouldn't make a difference. I would ask you if you're sure it needs a refret. If there's enough height and you're satisfied with the size of the wire, a fret dress (level/crown/polish) will do wonders. A partial refret can get rid of problem frets. I just replaced the first 2 frets only on a G&L. They were heavily grooved but the remainder of the frets had .050 height left. Monster wire, .110 wide.

That one was in a Chicago suburb. It was at Dr. Eddie's Goodtime Music. The owner ordered it. The pics are about a year and a half old. I forgot I had them.
