SOLD!

(you can see more pics at: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/atquinn1975/library/1994%20Diablo?sort=3&page=1 )

Great Diablo, but I'm picking one shredder to stick with and this is not it :D. Possibly difficult to tell, but this is a very dark, translucent blue. In very good shape, but not perfect (it is 22 years old after all). Barely any fret wear and no huge dings. Diablo175 was a previous owner and he replaced the Hamer Floyd baseplate with a (better) Schaller one. When I received it, the guitar had red Seymour Duncan pickups in it (a JB in the neck and a G-spaced Distortion in the bridge). I don't believe these were the original pickups for a couple reasons, but at any rate they're gone now and in their place are the (better-sounding and better-looking) Suhr SSH+ bridge and Duncan '59 neck.

I don't have the original Hamer case; this will ship in a Schecter Diamond Series case (looks like a branded G&G case to me) that is in excellent condition.

Yours for $800 PayPal'd and shipped. Thanks for looking.

And round and round it goes. Sweet ax fo' sho. Austin cleaned it up and put a proper set of p'ups in there. The red SD's were in it when I procured it from Peter Fung ( I think ) and I really didn't play it all that much so didn't have a feel for those p'ups.

GLWTS!

Wow! that is really nice! If I didn't already have two diablos in "ok" shape I'd definitely look hard at this one.

I don't believe that for a minute but I will say coming or going you have excellent taste in shredders!

This is the year I narrow it down to 4 keepers and I'll be all done.

Maybe :P

Yeah, I've said that a few times, too.

My most recent thinning involved this Diablo, a JEM, a Charvel and an Ovation. Seems a reasonable swap to replace them with Cali or two.

coil taps, by any chance?

Nope. The 59 is single conductor anyway, so it wouldn't be conducive for that. If I was keeping it, I would have probably thrown in a superswitch at some point and wired it up Suhr-style with automatic coil splitting in positions 2 and 4.

Woah that is nice.  What is up with the crooked neck pickups in the diablos?

A stylistic choice I guess? At first glance you might think they had to do it or else the neck pickup rout would be too close to the cutaway on the treble side. But then you see a Diablo II and...<_<

Consider the tires kicked.

I'm enjoying the SS-fret Diablo I bought from you too much.

Aka, the best-sounding Diablo I've ever had. Who would have thought a Dimarzio 36th would kick so much ass in the bridge of a Floyded shredder?

I must be blind, too, because I don't see the YPF girl in your signature anymore.  But congrats on grabbing a cool Diablo!
