Steve Haynie Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Z3's are made in USA. Do what Americans do.

Btw. this is the car in question; contact with a truck last Friday Have the truck driver pay for the damage. It looks like you were hit by him. It would be sad to see that guitar go to fix a car.

Actually, they will if you have collision. If you do and you haven't had any accidents in 5 years, your insurance won't go up. Have the insurance company handle it and save a Hamer. A Standard is a terrible thing to waste on a bimmer.

Yes, the truck driver hit me, but I came from a road I was not allowed to drive on. Talked to my insurance agent today in detail. Of course they will cover the damage of the truck, but not the repair of my car. I´m working in different directions and will find a way to raise the money, if necessary by selling the Standard.

Yes with no fault, each drivers insurance covers the cost of the other drivers repairs. As for the Standard: see if someone here is willing to buy it with an option to sell it back to you. That way it stays in the family. Oh and, find another insurance agent. Something doesn't smell right to me. Regardless of private road, construction road, or NSA secret agent school road, the truck hit the last portion of your drivers side door and most of your quarter panel. That in insurance terms gets you an insurance claim. 3 hours ago, Roli said:
dgstandard Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 "Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it." GLWS PS keep your Standard
Hamersaur Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 A kidney is currently worth $262,000.00 in the US black market. Just saying . Hope you find a way to keep the Standard, It's a beauty.
sled Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Have you thought about selling the car as is.?. You could always buy another one later. Maybe even one that is in better shape with less mileage.
Roli Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 Thanks everyone for the suggestions and advice! Maybe I was a little too overhasty in my intention selling the Standard. So for now I think of other possibilities to raise the money. Sorry to everybody who was interested in buying. Life is good! Roli
DBraz Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 That's what's great about the HFC. They tell you when you SHOULDN'T sell!

The M version was a beast.

crunchee Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Maybe it's just me, but the shape reminds me a little of an old Jaguar D-or E-type hardtop.
