Biz Prof Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 I've gigged that tune at least a couple hundred times over 30+ years, and playing a Fadd2 with a bit of chorus and delay did the trick for the opening chord.

WIth the F & D in the Mix all played together = F6(add9).

Many great recordings will simply double a guitar part but played in another position for great effect. What the Beatles did here is right out of Jazz 101; different instruments playing different parts of the same chord. Brilliant.

And I keep going back to the little vignette, above, and it is still bringing me joy. That guy is so fired up about that one chord. So awesome. Again, thanks for posting that.

It also sounds better leading into the first verse which opens with a G. If you open with a G11, it doesn't sound right going into the G verse.
