sw686blue Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Dave's Guitar in Wisconsin has one... http://www.davesguitar.com/products.html?13256
kizanski Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Dave's Guitar in Wisconsin has one... They are, however, all out of '59 Stratocasters.
Travis Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 $350, huh? Them's bottom feeder prices. Too bad there's no case, though.
sw686blue Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 We have a tough crowd tonight ladies and gentlemen
elduave Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I should buy it ' cause the odds of it being broken in transit are low...
Michael_ Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Curse my lack of funds! I could have flipped about 500 bucks in the last week alone just turning all of these cheap guitars...

sw686blue Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 I should buy it ' cause the odds of it being broken in transit are low... Dave, you're right. The probability of that happening is very low. Then again, you need to factor in the very elusive Mr. Murphy!
Zoner Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sold as in you have inquired already and it is gone or are you on your way there with donuts and coffee to open the store this morning? I considered making the trek myself but if it is gone I'll save the trip for another day(maybe if the sun EVER comes out again!). Z
serial Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sold as in it is being shipped out to the new owner today.
Zoner Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Perfect. I think Dave's will be a great spring motorcycle destination, especially since they now stock new Hamers. Nice to see a bargain now and then too on a cool vintage piece! Z
kizanski Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sold as in it is being shipped out to the new owner today. The cards never too far from the vest...
elduave Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sold as in it is being shipped out to the new owner today. So, are we in "stocking the herd" mode?
serial Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I didn't say it was coming to ME... That being said, I might be in a position to cull some of the stuff I have lying around. Anyone want some gittar project stuff? I'll probably toss a few items (including at least one solid rosewood Baker neck) up on the Bay in the next couple of weeks just to clean some stuff up that I won't be getting to anytime soon. And if no one is polite enough to say so, I'll just send out a big "THANKS" to sw686blue for posting this one. I'm sure that someone will be happy.
LordOfTheThighs Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Is that the stock three coil in it? It looks like somebody took a hummer and a single, and made a three coil out of it. I believe this what they are anyways, but is that the original one in it? I see a Duncan logo on the top coil of the three. Maybe it's an improvement. Nice Phantom, I'm liking it.
tomteriffic Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I believe the website said that the single-coils had been replaced. They look like quarter-pounders to me.Edited 'cuz I kin spel but I cain't tyep.
serial Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I've got original Hamer Phantom single coils, so that can be easily remedied if the Duncans don't suit. It'll be a gig guitar, so whatever sounds better stays.
GusS Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Dimarzio's.Post some hot pics when ya git it StevePS: do you know the original hardware color of 411741?
serial Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Would have no way of knowing hardware color on anything until a limited period of time in the late 80s/early 90s when they logged that stuff in for a spell. '84 entries would have a color code/model name MAYBE some custom info, but rarely.
