Bennyboy-UK Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 You know what - I think you are doing the right thing - the market is playing ball with some decent prices at the moment - I think I sold about 12 Hamers over the last couple of years - and all of them went out at a profit - If I'd waited I might have done a bit better - but you can't speculate I suppose. That a a really lovely colour on that guitar!

Not too many people can claim to own a salmon colored guitar.....Got mine in 1991 from a friend that worked at Kaman Aerospace (owned Hamer). I had asked if he could get an employee discount on a Cali and he...not being a musician....told me there was a California with boomerangs, flames, salmon color,. Sounded awful. He said it listed for $1800 if I remember. He could get it for $780. Wrote him a check that day.

LucSulla Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Not trying to sound contentious, but if you want $4k kinda money, maybe put a little more time into the pictures. It's hard to tell what color it is in that lighting. Maybe a couple of outdoor pics later in the day where the sunlight is filtered. I don't - someone better at photography can chime in. I just know that color pops a whole lot more than that, and you should show that off.

It was my second Cali and the first was a black mahogany Elite. Very comfortable with the tone on that one. The sushi....ah, salmon one cut thru a bit more and with no tone control....Anyway, I dialed it in to my liking via my amp set up and yes....sounds great.

kurtsstuff Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I love the salmon blush finish!! I could be wrong but me thinks the guitar originally came with a Schaller trem and not the OG floyd? Looks like the string lock screws hover outside the cutout and over the body. Like I said though..I could be wrong

Like I said though..I could be wrong Mine came with a Hamer branded Schaller and the lock bolts are within the cutout for the tremolo. And a correction to my earlier post....mine is a 1992 also.

You sent me an offer on Reverb and I just can't go for it even with the more than fair price here. I feel, and this is my opinion $3500 shipped is more than fair. That's just me. I missed the $350 USA Hamer days so those people will always say "Three Fiddy" like on South Park. Hoping to come across a glued in FM Cali someday. GLWTS HR
