Congrats?

Older cousins of mine - huge Scorpions fans - had that album with the original cover.

Even at 10 years old I was thinking, "Umm... that's just wrong."

At least the cover of, “Lovedrive”, had models that were legal tender.

I had Uli Roth sign a DualPack “Virgin Killer/Taken By Force” after his set. He flipped through the liner notes, stopped at the, “VK”, cover. He had the most mortified look on his face, sighed and said: “Ah, well. We were young and stupid then…”

Ah, well. The girl was 12.

"Young and stupid" doesn't explain everything.

The Virgin Killer Album Cover by itself was perhaps a little too creepy so these 4 albums fall under the same category as being hard to find since they were not deemed appropriate for release in America. I was a total Scorpions nut in the Eighties.

Interesting. I had three of those LPs (guess which ones), and all four were readily available in import sections of record shops where I grew up.

Why TF was, “Lonesome Crow”, considered inappropriate? How is that benign, SCI-FI picture bad in any way?

That one puzzles me as well.

I get the feeling it was quite deliberate

I don't think that's the original cover, but neither had much going on that would offend.

Perhaps it was a special release given that the vinyl is clear. I've never seen the cover you posted. Interesting.

Blind Faith's cover with Ginger Baker's daughter was around but sealed in dark material that was impenetrable
