  1. Past hour
  2. Mine's quilted Maple over Mahogany with ebony fretboard. Snap, warmth, and everything in between is available. Ridiculously good sounding guitar...
  3. Thumbs up on the Ethos gear......Fairly sure I do not need any more, but...... One of these days I need to get around to selling off a couple dozen of my "extra" old (and some not so old) pedals.....🤔
  4. @velorush I got all this in trade for a "vintage" Gibon Les Paul Custom. I was kind of surprised by the haul myself in some ways because he didn't list them out as clearly as I would've liked. Don't get me wrong, he was friendly, I just didn't actually understand what I was getting and took more of a gamble than I intended. Based on the first two pedals I sold tolday I expect I'm actually going to do better than I expected. I've got like four offers so far on the Venuram Jan Ray but it's been listed for just a few hours. The four Timmy's make me chuckle. Who needs four Timmy's and a Jan Ray (i.e., clone of a Timmy). I think three of those are fuzz faces and there are four takes on Big Muffs. https://reverb.com/item/100673047-shin-s-music-mk-1-overdrive-063 https://reverb.com/item/100669850-vemuram-jan-ray Not stuff you see everyday.
  5. RIP Frank. Same three guys, same three chords had a good run.
  6. Goddammit. I'm tired of this getting old shit.
  7. Sad. There are two drummers from the 1970s who could create extreme greatness, anchoring the band, with what seems like very little effort and a lot of swing. Creating a totally unique sound for their bands just as important as the guitar riffs and lead vocals. You know it's them behind the kit from the first bar of the song. That is Frank Beard and Phil Rudd. RIP. Legend.
  8. Yeah man. But then it wouldn't be Doom.
  9. I don't think my local mom and pop store has this many pedals for sale!
  10. Sounds like shit!.. lots of people don't realize it's the way you attack your strings that make the difference... just like other genres, there is an art to chugging... considering the angle of the pick and the amount of pressure you apply with your palms, where you attack the strings in relation to the bridge, when to release, etc

  12. Today
  13. I only suggested because of the Horseshoe crab inlay. Mark O'Shea. Anyway, I have too much time on my hands.

I'm starting with boutique and expensive stuff first. There's a few thing a friend wants to try like the Ethos Overdrive and TWE, Dumbloid, and that Goodsell, that I won't list until he tries. I've sold about $500 of pedals in the past few hours so it may be hard to get up to date. I thought they used BBCode formatting here. Apparently not.
  15. A beauty, I will also sell mine.
  16. I thought that's what you meant but someone mentioned 12 strings and so I questioned myself as I usually do. Any way, the Takamine Peak was a great guitar I had when it came out in 2013 for something like $745. I see they are selling on Reverb for double, or at least asking double. It has this cute little guy on a summit for the 12th marker. There is a more expensive model with larger clouds and possibly hand built or different woods. I can't remember the difference but I got this guy and really liked it.
  17. I guess for clarification, I am looking for something mid to high end, depending on make/model. So I'm kinda all-in for solid woods and gloss finishes. In a perfect world it's something she treasures for a lifetime. In a not-so-perfect world, she can make enough selling it to pay for something she treasures for a lifetime. Great question, and maybe I didn't say it correctly. I mean 12-fret, which is a guitar with a neck that joins the body at the 12th fret. That eliminates a large swath outta the gate, but I'm of the mind that smaller bodies benefit from having the bridge moved back. Someone suggested Larrivee and if I could I would. I used to have a Larrivee P-01 which was fantastic and would be a perfect match if it were better appointed. Getting into something a little nicer with a gloss finish means the P-05 and even used examples break my budget. It was actually my P-01 that has me convinced a 12-fret is the way to go. Lots of Taylor suggestions but from what I've found Taylor only offers the 12-fret neck joint in their bigger-than-baby sized Grand Concert and I worry that's a little bigger body than would be comfortable for her (she's 17 and a short 5').
  18. Does it have a stadium logo on the headstock?
  19. Do they employ Bassets for their basses?
  20. is there a website with the info? thanks
  21. No - it would be a 1997. A 2007 serial would be 75xxxx.
  22. just want to make sure .. thanks
