I was truly bummed at this news but then, Tim was not in fine form these recent years. RHPS conjures so many memories: my cousin gave me a tape of the soundtrack back in the mid- late 70's. I LOVED that album. Had the words to every song memorized long before I actually got to see the film some 8 years later. It was during undergrad and it was being shown by the university with the added bonus of a couple of Tim's rock clips including the one @cmatthes posted. Took a few viewings until I picked up on all the appropriate responses and came prepared with the requisite props. And yes, I experienced some random eye moisture, right around the time the scene with "I'm Going Home" played. I still have the mp3 of the film's sound track and I watch the DVD every Halloween when I can't find a local showing with crowd partici... SAY IT! ...pation.

Yeah, I cried when he sang, "I'm Going Home," first time I saw it. I was 15 and I think you needed to be 17 to see it. They wouldn't let me and my date buy a ticket. So we went around back and broke a hole in the Exit door big enough to get my hand in there to pull the lever to open it and in we went. What a voice and such emotion. Great movie. Great performance. I bought the album too.

I thunk he showed off his versatility real good in supporting roles in movies like Home Alone II and The Hunt for Red October. And that demon from Legend still scares the bejeezus outta me... Hijack: But the Legend soundtrack has a very good song called "Is Your Love Strong Enough" with Bryan Ferry on lead vocals and David Gilmour on lead guitar. Yowsuh! Very cool collaboration, Gilmour "embellishments" all over the song, and an unmistakable D.G. solo starts at about the 3:10 mark. Soundtrack's actually credited to Tangerine Dream.

Stabbing Southward.

This one hits hard. I loved Tim Curry in pretty much everything he was in, but especially as Frank in Rocky Horror. RIP, sir. Thank you for everything. My favorite of his songs from Rocky Horror: And for my money, this is the greatest movie entrance ever:

I mean, if you want to play Mississippi queen all day, they are PERFECT. Just not sure why Hamer decided that the HOT P90 for the neck and CUSTOM P90 for the bridge was the way to go. They were taller than normal P90s, so they had to route out more material. I guess they didn't want the "standard" low out put SP90-1 pickups.

He also briefly listed a Danocaster BG, which is not there any longer. I hope nobody bought into that one. Likewise the TGP mods told me all was alright (despite no activity since 2019). Very suspicious.

I installed Regular Winds in a Gibson semi-hollow and the change was just as you describe - improved clarity and detail. The closest thing I've experienced were EMGs, but the Lollars are considerably less perfect in a good way. I have each on a push-pull that facilitates series / parallel wiring they sound great in either configuration.

Gotta love how she never took herself too seriously.

Circling back to this to close the loop. I stopped agonizing about the price tag and the hassle of swapping pickups in this guitar and scooped a set of standard wind Lollar Imperials and installed them and they sound incredible in this guitar. Dramatically improved clarity and detail from having a pickup that isn't so bassy in both positions. Now the depth control on my amp is usable again with this guitar. Cleans are also much improved. If you've got a SuperPro the Lollars are a perfect match.

I've played a couple shows with the guitar player's new bands and they've all been great. Dude is a total ripper with some fun gear. I think he was using an EGC through a Diezel VHX the last time we played with them.

Curiously, it seems it remains active. But the one response asking a question also appears to be a "shill". Also, the "seller" hasn't got any activity since 2018. Hmm...

Note you can use a stereo jack to replace a mono jack, just don't wire the ring connection (or wire it to ground) I actually prefer this because it makes the plug more stable. There are other advantages as well.

The guitar is NOT A.I. of course. It seems to be a typical Korina Jr, just painted pink. It includes the very manly Seymour Duncan "hot" P90 pickup that many people love to hate. Different knobs and without the normal dogear-style pickup cover. Internet suggests it was sold once by L.A. Guitar Center "used" and then in a charity auction.
