Beato does Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless.

She's cool with bats biting her leg too. I'd be screaming like a little bitch, swatting at the thing. And then stomping it to death. She just asked someone to come get it and said she and the bat are okay. Then went on with the concert. -

Music is such a different world nowadays... And i'm glad that she's taking full advantage of her fifteen minutes of fame 😃👌 -
Ha! I said that it looked like it had nearly bled out from the headstock break. For a short while I was trying to value it for my own purposes, but I didn't get as far as coming down on a number when I heard the asking price and switched to PSA mode. Pros: 80's Blitz, Hamer-quality mahogony of that era Non-paddle headstock Slammer pickups? Graphic finish Original HSC Nearby me, so no shipping Cons: Wear and tear Headstock repair Is the Kahler a pro or a con? I've never handled one, but I certainly see a lot of ridiculing of them, although I can't always tell if it's the Kahler itself or questionable quality conversions.

Like @Saul Goodman, I was a monster fan through Fair Warning….somehow 1984 didn’t do it for me (I know, I know). I bought 5150 and really dug some of those tunes, but they lost me after that. MA surely helped make that band what it was. Hard rock with those pretty BGVs was really novel and different. Plus he was and is a fine bassist.

Early 1984 Jackson soloists ordered by Gary Pihl of Boston. These are the 2nd and 3rd Jackson built after Jeff Beck's pink one with three singles (defiled by Tina Turner). Sequential serial numbers. They have seen big stadiums with Brad playing the hard tail and Gary playing the Kahler. They are fantastic instruments.

The flag graphic finishes were pretty rare, but honestly, not really all that desirable - I'm talking about ANY of the flag designs they did. That wasn't a Custom Order or anything - Blitz guitars with Kahlers were regular fare in '84-'86, and the flag graphics (Confederate, USA, Union Jack) were done in small numbers, but just as stock graphics if a dealer ordered it or they just did the finish and shipped it out. I would have less than zero interest in that particular one, but for somebody who had to have that, I'd think you'd be overpaying at $1k, honestly.

Dammit, I don't have but one each of a Cali Custom and a Standard. But I got two custom shop Charvel DK24's and Charvel is owned by FMIC which used to own (and then killed off) Hamer.

Up for grabs is this black Hamer-stamped Schaller Floyd with bar, locking nut and posts. Came off of a Cali Elite Limited Edition acquired from a former member of the HFC. Looks to be fully functional- just needs a bit of TLC. Some cleaning, a bit of oiling and she’ll be good to go. $120 USD, shipped CONUS.

In my area, Nashville is great. Memphis, not. -
I can't remember which book it was (there are so many) that disclosed Roth paid for karate lessons but maybe took one or two. There was a pattern of such behavior expressed (again, can't remember which book it was - I'll try to find it and add to this post). ETA: Google AI says it was Noel Monk's book: "Written by the band's former manager, Noel Monk, the memoir includes a passage detailing David Lee Roth's personality, noting that Roth once signed up for karate lessons and paid in advance for enough instruction to earn a black belt, but ultimately didn't follow through with that specific program." "While Monk used this story to illustrate Roth's habit of jumping into new ventures with intense initial enthusiasm but shifting focus before completion, Roth famously did continue practicing martial arts independently throughout his life. He went on to study Kenpo karate under legendary master Ed Parker, trained with kickboxer Benny "The Jet" Urquidez, and regularly practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu and weapon arts like Kendo and Iaido." Didn't recall that second part, so, @Saul Goodman's proposition that MA might have been fearful of a physical confrontation could certainly be true.
