I played thru a Mace for a few shows. It had EV speakers in it. FOH guy threatened to pour gas on it and burn it if he saw it on the backline again. Next show I was sporting a Boogie.

Skynyrd's crew hated that Peavey gear. The tube amps constantly blew up, totally unroadworthy. The bass gear was solid, it's said.

Sometimes, legendary assholes make legendary pedals. As much as I tried to get away from my MDV-2, it's just the shit. The closest vibe I've bought to it that suits my ear is the Lovepedal Vibronaut, and it is great for a small board. But nothing beats have a treadle on one of these things for the full effect.
