This is what my dad gave my for my birthday: An 1953 Framus “Billy Sorento” guitar. Seems like a former electric guitar, but now a bit butchered. Probably a nice “It’s alive. IT’S ALIIIIVEEE!”/restauration project.

the biggest thing is do it like you mean it. your vocal/playing sucks? it don't matter.... you play what you mean.. stand and deliver. that comes across.

I have one I'll be taking to the Tampa Guitar Show next month. It's got a blister "10-top" with a sunburst that's very little yellow to lots of red. It's killer, but is a bit weighty. A little over nine pounds. Impeccable workmanship. Near mint. From the vault. It will be $2,500.

I've lowered the price $1,000! Time for this one to go to a very lucky owner. This guitar is fantastic.

Yeah..I've gone back to that one many times and your right..it is pretty! I've had my eye on a red (Not a stock color) one that's been there for over 2 years and I've made what I thought to be legitimate fair offers but, He/she has a number stuck in their head that they aren't budging from which I totally respect. It is a custom color and all..lol! I just may have to cave in...lol!!

We do have NHRIBS to address those unfortunate threads that begin with IBS and a not dead yet subject. But we shouldn't have to. Maybe use GOS (getting old sucks) for announcements like Rick, or Lionel Richie, or any of the others who have suffered and the many who eventually will suffer tour-interrupting medical events and the like, but are not reported to be exceptionally grave? In the latter cases, we could use CTD (circling the drain). Or KOHD (knocking on heaven's door).

There are nine GC stores within an hour's drive of my home. Two are excellent. The others occasionally have some interesting used inventory.

I tried one of those floating top model Kammerer guitars in Atlanta a few weeks ago. It was nice.

In some neighborhoods, that is pronounced Pa taw toe. Endorsed by Spuds Mackenzie, I think. Very little a peel to me.

My 2 cents.....I do have an Elite. Goldtop with non-original P90s. Lollars, IIRC. IMO, it is a better guitar than the original 1956 Goldtop I had for nearly 2 decades. (Longer story on what happened there). Suffice to say it fills that niche very well. Yeah, there IS a difference in market value! 😉 The "shelf" is not an issue for me on either that guitar or my number 1 Hamer (Monaco Superpro). Do not expect either to pop up for sale.....
