@Dutchman Closest I can find is for a Gibson Nighthawk https://reverb.com/item/59922205-advanced-plating-1290c-contemporary-series-nighthawk-bridge-fits-gibson-chrome

I’m guessing the odd loose dangly bit above the right pot is the Powerchip. https://www.fishmanjp.com/support/install_guides/powerbridge_install_guide.pdf It’ll be tough to find a lighter T-51. If you’d be inclined to keep it (assuming a $150-200 refund) suggest sending a photo to Dave’s and inquiring. After that, cut bait, new bridge, new control plate, replace middle pickup, wire it up like a Strat. Yep, sounds like a project ! Let me be the first to say TREEFIDDY !

There’s a brand name stamped in the base plate— Where did the image come from?

Looks good, the Floyd needs a light dusting. I’m not current on pickup offerings but don’t recall seeing a humbucker that features two rails per coil. -

Removing Residue from Pickguard
topekatj replied to 1 bottlerocket's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
How much residue are we talking about? If it’s spots here and there, a non-solvent approach to try is repeatedly plastering and lifting various other adhesive materials, from scotch tape, post it adhesive, etc., moving up to packing tape or duct tape. No solvent, worth a try. -
@RobB i just inquired with this seller and received the following reply. Apologies for the delay. Just pulled one and checked. It’s a G&G badged USA made case. No Fender logo on the outside. We have multiples in stock. https://reverb.com/item/71820940-fender-case-dlx-str-tel-blk $249.99, free shipping

I dunno if this is old news or even newsworthy, but during the last few weeks as I attempted to buy ‘just a (G&G) Strat/tele case’ I discovered that G&G no longer has an active online store, and further digging revealed they stopped selling consumer direct during Feb. 2025. https://www.instagram.com/p/DFqtlX3y0uj/?hl=en The Fender.com site shows all G&G cases to be sold out. I’ve also read that Fender stopped shipping out most new guitars in the G&G cases, and that G&G may be restructuring. LUCKILY, through Reverb I discovered that a local store had at least one ‘black over black’ in stock and I grabbed it yesterday (local pickup only). It’s a Fender branded G&G with only the small Fender tag behind the handle, and not the big chrome amp logo on the side that will break in a week. The case had a Fender tag dating it to 2023, hell, even the G&G badge in the case interior is dated 2023! Their website still shows them to be in stock, but the salesperson told me it was their last one. Still worth a call if you’re shopping. https://www.bananas.com/products/fender-g-g-standard-hardshell-case-for-strat-tele-black-with-black-acrylic-interior

Looks Fane-tastic! -
That looks good enough to eat, and also fretless, except in the close up.

I was wondering when PRS would enter the conversation in terms of their tonal merits, compared to a Lester or otherwise. i have NO personal playing experience RE PRS nor do I strongly like or dislike the tones I’ve heard other players getting, but I have also heard two players I admire (who formerly played LPs) play PRS guitars live, and the Gibby bark was just not there. Granted, Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin aren’t seeking Zack or Slash tones, but to me, their use of Gibsons early on were a significant part of their sound on their early recordings (and IME) missing in their live tone. At a minimum, it’s unfortunate that Hamer never had this sort of high visibility players of ‘guitar music’ so that similar listening comparisons could be made. Additionally, I read an interview with Alex Lifeson some years back. In a nutshell, he said “PRS, they look great, stay in tune great…. but, the Gibson, while needing more periodic tweaking and adjustment, sounds better.”
