I can't remember if I posted both of mine together here either but in any case.................here they are...........both from 1979. No "SUN" in either of these Sunbursts ................maybe a "Black" Hole SUN"

Another fine looking Hamer ..................great color! CONGRATS!

Been watching the guitars as they have been making their way through to completion and.................. first comment here. I must say these guitars DO look amazing in every respect! Congrats to the lucky new owners. So....................... was the long wait to get these guitars worth it?

Some amazing guitars fellas................"Sunbursts" are the ones to have! Beautiful!

"GH" The Gear Whore is back!!! OH CRAP!

I remember you showing me that one Skip! Beautiful!! That was another guitar you got a great deal on,was it not!

All my guitars in the past but for just a couple had" Flames" or "Quilted" tops, sides, backs, etc.......... so I can appreciate "GOOD WOOD"....................now all my guitars are Black. And they all have "GOOD WOOD", you just can't see it. Well maybe just a little.

I know there are people out there who think these are cool as hell and would kill to own one but.....................I can't get on board with any of the Vai model Ibanez guitars..............never could, never will. Having said that to each to their own as I'm sure there are people that would scratch their heads asking why would someone want to own a guitar[Well make that 2!] model called a "Sunburst" thats opaque Black in finish color and made by a small guitar maker thats no longer even in business. Hell for 6K you would be close or could even buy a original Ibanez Artwood Twin Doubleneck [6&12] that would be way cooler and rarer........... be my choice anyway..............just sayin.

Congrats! Glad you got one and that it is BLACK! If Peter owned it .......its a good one!

So You bought it CJ?

Sure it will sell just give it some time. I had my Gibson L-5S for sale for quite a while and I was really surprised that didn't go right off ..............but it was a expensive guitar and I just had to find the right buyer. I sold a guitar once for $1,200.00 and the guy gave me $100.00 every 2 weeks till it was payed for then I sent him off the guitar,so that can work also.Good Luck!

Great guitar! I believe this time of year impedes sales of something in this price range however great it is.............with everyone having just bought gifts and incurring other expenses. [ I just paid a $500.00 heat bill............... and that was for November! ] I really like this guitar, it IS SO cool! If you were not downsizing and could consider a trade perhaps something else would strike your fancy. Ebay is kinda the last ditch effort for selling for a lot of people. The fees have gone up and of course then you may have issues with it not being what someone thinks it is [Hey you never mentioned the fingerprint on the back left side corner]........... so its a not as described kind of thing. Hope it works out for you.

Well....................... I guess you already know the answer with no regrets I might add.

Yet another 1979 B&C'D Black Hamer Sunburst! ................yeah I got it for myself but who says you can't give yourself a gift. Now as to whether I deserve it well........................ thats another question.

Thanks much appreciated ....................I actually DID find a Black 78 that was B&C'd and had the deal all set to go but then the buyer[We talked quite a few times and we contacted each other through this forum] of my guitar that I was selling to fund the Hamer walked off the map and never contacted me again regarding a explanation.............obviously he chose not buy my guitar. So I put that one out of my mind.........knowing how good my first 79 Black "Sunburst" was it seemed foolish to pass this one up when it was brought to my attention that it was available.Looking back now things actually worked out better.
