  1. I was privileged to have played more than a few times with Mike Elliot. great guitarist. Gibson endorser and rep. He was local to Minnesota and he was the leader of this band. I'd be very surprised if anyone here knows of him or the band but they were fantastic.
  2. Nope but it DOES have a "Hot" Jazz guitar player. "A Life in Jazz Guitar" Tal Farlow. I got the "Luxury" edition with the red slipcover, CD, signatures of Michele Farlow, ["Tal's Wife"] and the author Jean Luc Katchchoura, and 3 large prints from the private Tal Farlow collection. Numbered edition of 150.
  3. I have a VERY rare book coming from Paris, France [The book was only available in France for a short time]...............the book alone was $157.00 plus shipping. Wonder what I'll be paying on this end when it arrives 😲
  4. Chuck Negron, Three Dog Night co-founder who took cover songs to the top, dead at 83
  5. Awesome player and he has been through some tough situations and managed to turn his life around. He sure has the chops to do about anything he sets his mind to. I watch him play and think how does he do that? One of a kind for sure.
  6. Ahhhhhhhh...................NO! If that is a "TELE" it's not going to "TELL" anything now no matter who the player is.
  7. Very cool interview. I knew he had a "BURST" that got ripped off and................ that he got it back, which is quite a thing. So "Wooden Music" Chicago.............hmmmmmm so would the guy Jeff talks about [The owner] who gave it back to Hanna, could that have been Jim Beach?
  8. Like I said smart move on Norm's part...............business as usual.
  9. Saw that, surprised a little but Norm isn't getting any younger and has had some pretty serious health issues here awhile back. It's probably a good move to sell everything now while he is still on the planet. Get the sale done now and cash out rather than wait and then have the family deal with selling the business and all of God knows what is in his warehouse and its inventory. Many of the big-name music artists have done the same rather than leave all these things for the family to figure it all out. Smart move best to just say it is time. Hope he got a great offer. Maybe he let Bonamassa cherry pick the inventory beforehand.
  10. WOW!...........not surprised at the FB reaction to this guitar. What a beauty.I have not seen a posting of one of these guitar for years now. Back when I first joined the HFC back in 2012 they would pop up now and then, but they have always been super rare. You're a very lucky guy to have this one. Congrats to you!
  11. Here is a different and short-lived version of the Magnum P I theme song.
  12. Yes it does unfortunately..............thanks for pointing that out.
  13. 78......................................Hamer 1978 Bound and Crowned - Sunburst | eBay.de
  14. Happy New Years to all the Guitar [and Bass] slingers here on the HFC. "Slingers"? No don't mean sewing machines...................see what I did there?
  15. Bought one guitar that I had been searching for years now, finally found one in the condition and color I was looking for. This one was all stock also........most I have seen were modified or in such bad condition. Got it from Chicago Music Exchange and they were great to deal with, fast shipping and the guitar was just as described, beautiful!
