  1. Yes I watched a "Documentary" on Tull on You Tube here just the other day.................shows Martin with his "BURST" and of course his Black Hamer "Sunburst" then there just a very short snippet of him playing a double neck of some sorts but it was hard to tell just what it was. I saw Jethro Tull during that time period and he was always playing the Black Hamer, he had a White Hamer "Sunburst" also.............. at some point there was Strat also.
  2. Did Martin Barre ever own a Hamer Double neck guitar? Hard to get a look at just what it is he is using but..............Shefield maybe? This would have been during the "Living in The Past" time period.
  3. Never a Kiss huge fan but you can't ignore their impact on the music world...............and Ace of course he started many guitarists on their Guitar/Musical journey. He lived a pretty rough life there for a while as did many others but just saying that can have an effect on you in your later years. Then there is Keith...............who is a complete "THRIVER" despite it all.
  4. "Suddenly and Unexpectedly". I realize the family has their right to privacy, I do, but most of the time the cause of death comes out later on anyway, all the more so if it is a celebrity. It's just pure curiosity for the most part. I'm 72[ I hope I live till 82, that is a life well lived in my book] and hopefully I have a few more guitar playing and life enjoying years ahead of me. But when all is said and done, there is an end to everyone and everything. RIP.
  5. Love the band and saw them many times. RIP John Lodge, singer and bassist of Moody Blues during classic era, dies at 82 | AP News
  6. Saw him back in his early Austin days with Mariani the Electromagnets. have been a fan ever since.

  8. WOW! Who wouldn't like to own that guitar?! What a beauty! GLWTS!
  9. Really good guitars.................back in the day I knew of a store here in Minnesota that was getting 2 of the G&L "Broadcaster" models one had the fixed bridge the other had the factory Kahler. I bought the first one and it was a really fine guitar, played and sounded great but I just couldn't hang onto it, in the end It just wasn't what I wanted, and I sold it to a local music store here in town, It sold almost right away. I saw it a few years later and it was in rough condition. Really good guitars but the resale is awful, I know several people who have owned them, and they took a huge loss when they sold those guitars, they are a hard sell.
  10. WOW! I can't remember how long ago that it was I saw one of those for sale but it was years ago. Marvelous guitar! Price is spot on for what it is IMHO.
  11. What if he looked like this............?????? Because at one time he did.
  12. Great looking guitar, I can't imagine anyone not wanting to own that one but being far from an expert I can't see anything that would make it stand out as something special from other Artist Customs. It's not unusual to see guitars and other items priced at some insane prices from sellers in Japan. Often times they actually don't even own said instrument. I used to buy guitars from a very reputable seller in Japan, and he was usually right on the mark for value with a few exceptions of some really rare examples. Cool guitar but 12K cool? Nope.
  13. When you have reached that level of playing after all those years you can make just about anything work for you and sound.................just like Billy Gibbons.
  14. Cool case for the $$$ for sure but looks like the one size fits all...................sorry I'd have to have a form fitting case, just what I've always used.
  15. Exactly why I bought my 90's Epiphone SG-70 which was the early forerunner of those models. Super high build quality, great neck profile, evenly matched alnico humbuckers, at 7.4 each, light 6 lbs. Epiphone SG-70 Ebony – Chicago Music Exchange
  16. Guys, guys...................let's not be too harsh here and overreact to a simple repair. This can obviously be fixed easily and completely.
  17. One of my all-time jazz guitar greats [ And Pat it near the top of the list for me], sadly passed on now.
  18. Thats a great looking guitar BUT although it IS his guitar and he can ask what he wants for it, getting it is a whole nother thing. I can't see anyone paying that $$$$ for that guitar. But as someone mentioned maybe an interest trade and some cash could get it done at a lesser price point.
  19. No Affiliation...............just posting. The SS Hamer looks like it has been played hard and put away wet. (3) Marketplace - Hamer USA P-90 Special w/HSC & NEW Frets Trade For American Semi-Hollow? | Facebook (3) Marketplace - 1980s Hamer SS1 (autographed) | Facebook
  20. All things considered I was amazed that he even lived this long much less be able to sing period....................and then there is Keith Richards. Never saw him as a solo act but I did in the early day of Sabbath, they were pretty incredible................... and LOUD! Here in better times.
