We had a small crowd, of maybe 50 people saturday night . I played wyldbil on "no rest for the wicked" (slide ) and "hoochie coochie man" . we do a rocked up version of both . The picture was taken during" Hoochie Coochie Man" solo , I had the band bring it down before my solo and told the audience what was goin on with the guitar! got big applause for wyldbil . I hope he enjoyed it, I had fun !

^^^yeah I didnt really see doyle or gary do much , played it pretty safe . I didnt really dig gary with his band either. but I enjoyed the show over all . I like you ,thought "fade away "was entertaining and dave played some nice stuff , but he had a couple nice licks in the " the road goes on forever " with joe ely as well. kenny was probably there in support of his new blues release and his recent association with chris layton ( played drums on kenny's last tour )also enjoyed dave grohls little tribute to roky erickson

"David Grissom in the backing band was a total waste but it was good to see him nonetheless." agreed but he did have some moments to shine , I've always been a big fan of his playing especially with joe ely on liberty lunch and love and danger

this would be a fantasy gig for me , the amp would be an old maggie , a princeton or a deluxe

I pretty much use my ideal rig , but if I were playing my ideal gig Id probably bring alot more .currently using -cover / blues band : strat , prs McCarty and sometimes an acoustic , originals band : strat , McCarty and Newport. I enjoy playing the newport and feel like I need a strat to cover tunes , the prs I pretty much just use for slide work. for my Ideal gig( fantasy gig ) , id bring :newport, talladega, prs , strat( maybe 2 ) , les paul special /tv and 2 amps. for my ideal gig someone else would be setting up & tearing down.... tonight at the 9th st pub in LaSalle Il 9-1 !

still play about 30 gigs a year , that never gets boring , but practicing does , just do it even on the days its a struggle . .... Ive heard it said there is no such thing as multi tasking , its really just switching focus continually , if there were one could read a book and write one at the same time

Anyone Have Experience With Boat Carve?
dragan replied to Ting Ho Dung's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I dont know anything about the boat , and have exp with only 2 hamers my newport and tally . Both guitars have slightly larger necks than I'd have thought I would like, but they are very comfortable to play . My theory on this is that the larger neck allows for better action on the fretboard and thumb position on the back of the neck, the tally has a slight v on the back of the neck and feels slightly larger than the newport. -

As Hamerica said " you'll regret it ". It should be in the Hamer museum , were there one . -
what everyone else said, try and get him to realize on his own ( with a little help) , that that much distortion is a crutch that make his at home alone playing easier to sound good but has no definition and cannot be heard / mixed at all in a live setting without being too loud for his function in the band .

all I remember about that song was learning to smack the guitar hard 3? times to get the last 3 warbled notes of the solo this "flutters" the vibrato while your sliding and bending up the notes . as I remember anyway ( saw brad do it )

Value of the most expensive guitar you own?
dragan replied to zorrow's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
paid 400 worth maybe 4000 in todays market, voted 2500 top dollar for me -
The full tone has a mix knob , the new ones have a boost as well , when I don't needs tremolo I turn down the mix and use it as a boost at the end of the fx chain

cool , congrats
