So I gotta ask... Is that three modded Daytonas, or did that one start as a doubleneck? That's pretty awesome though. Does the switch in-between the two string paths switch which set of pickups is going to the outputs? Is it a three-way, top-both-bottom kind of thing, or just a two-way toggle? The white 3-way slider switch is: Top Neck/OFF/Bottom Neck There is a master volume, master tone 3 way toggle controls the top (PhatCat) pickup selection 5 way blade covers the bottom (Strat) pickups Body was custom-made by Musikraft, and is a really nice hunk of white Korina that weighs under 3.5 lbs. Necks were both from Daytonas that had been parted out (not by me) Original Daytona Wilky VSV-G below, '90s NOS Wilky hardtail up top. Recessed Aluminum trem plate: I Like the gold & black !

like the sentiment , hate the guitar,...... Willi G said :One might expect the marketing of this guitar to include a case that exudes a patchouli aroma when opened.... made me think of Northern Prarie music , big ol wiff of patchouli everytime ya opened the door. -

Is C# the less "guitar-friendly" key?
dragan replied to zorrow's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
least friendly for alll instruments , in response to the question" if the song is in E where does that put your horn ?" miles davis said : "back in the Fing case " F# being the next worst senario for sharp content . -
"Okay, so a new guitar is inbound (full disclosure: not paid for yet, but the deal has been struck). So that just means one guitar is going out, right?" "Nope. Suddenly, with one guitar, there are 10 guitars that no longer matter to me. Sure, they were decent guitars with some flaws, but well worth keeping. Some collectible, some good quality acquired for an extremely cheap price. But these were the guitars that have survived dozens of purges. So why would just ONE guitar change my perception of nearly a dozen other guitars? How can adding just one guitar make nearly a dozen other guitars superfluous?" I could not explain it but I do understand it , sort of like disintrest in the harem now that youve fallin in love ?

Yeah, but how can that compete with the anticipation of getting a new guitar? Me? All I got is reuniting and marrying my girlfriend from high school after 28 years, surviving 2 heart attacks, deaths of my nephew plus two best friends, a Christmas trip to Israel not too long after the 6-day war, 29-state music tour, yada yada. not at all in a good way! 2 heart attacks !? (that will change you perspective quickly ).I would imagine youve come to some variation on my rule 1&2 as well then .

a few, hearing electric ladyland for the first time , surviving airplane crash in lake geneva wisc. surviving SIU, incl wild halloween party w/ hound dog taylor as entertainment , streeking & race riot , surviving 2 false arrests & jail in Dallas Tx ( i was eventually cleared of all charges ), death of both parents & many friends ins the 70s & 80s , birth of my son . guess these are not too little , but all changed my perspective . Rule 1 : dont sweat the small shit . Rule 2: 99.9% of what I worried about was small shit

83' Sunburst - Prices increasing or decreasing?
dragan replied to Craig S's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
mostly theyve gone down & have come back some , seems like asking prices have come back more than actual sales have . depends on the piece in question though. I think high end vintage stuff is down & the 70s, 80s stuff is rising. I'm just an observer though , not flush enough for the high end & have enough stuff left over from the 70s & 80s -

I worked retail sales in a music store from 75 -89 , as well as teaching guitar . There were some rewarding moments but , there were a lot of assholes especially at night ( a lot of drunks ). It never failed to amaze me they thought beligerance was the key to a better deal !?? -
