That price is a score! Congratulations again. Very nice Standard. I found one here in Europe last year for a price just slightly above what you paid, so I'm a happy camper too. Try to find original pickups for it if you can. The original Dimarzio's are great and will make that guitar sound just as it is supposed to. It will rock, do the jazz, the blues or whatever else you want to play on it (Original early Hamer Dimarzio's, I love 'em.)

You snagged it in 30 minutes and beat Fung to the punch. We'll all I can say then you really was a lucky bastard as he usually pulls the trigger on these babes before anyone else even gets the chance to say "pee wee herman" even one time. Did I say lucky bastard. Alright then. And yes my 4 digits are also light but resonates loud as hell. The greatest guitars on earth bubba! Play loud mutha!

Slammer B4S import bass, any good?
Disturber replied to Disturber's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Well actually it's with my wife in mind that I now have decided to finally buy a new bass. She wants to back me up on family jam sessions (she is the coolest, I know) I thought shortscale would be great for her. And then I can use it as well when she's not around. 149 dollars is a bargain. I'll Skype a friend in NY tonight and see if he can carry it over for me in August. -
Slammer B4S import bass, any good?

Ok. Thanks. I'll give it some thought then. They are rather cheap in the US, do you sell them Greg? -
Are these playable? I need a shortscale bass for homestudio use and "pub rehearsing". Doesn't have to be super quality, but should sound good and not feel cheap. Been thinking of a Fender Musicmaster from their Japan series. They are about 400 dollars new. But are these Slammer's any good, or should I stay away?

If not then I'll take it Old Sunbursts are the "mac" in macaronies. They simply rule and without them you are stuck with only "ronies" in your guitar collection. That is not funny.

I totally prefer non-recess. Feels better, looks better. It's just irritating to have that gap back there I never pull the floyd upwards. If I do it's just a slight notch. I twang with style

That looks pretty classy with two zebra's! I wonder what the price would be...?

Yes Hamer's are addictive. Once bitten by the bug you'll soon have GAS for another one. I started with one and now have nine. And although that is more elctric guitars than I ever will need I can't sell anyone of them. They are to good damn great every single one. Welcome to the HFC!

Hmm, nice hood ornaments But you should have had the girls remove their bras under their pink tops. I want nipples god damn it (now this is a pretty dirty smiley, tounge out and all).

I'm waiting for the photo of that V and #0055 in the same shot. Actually on second thought, that might be too much for me to take.... I'd need to pop a couple of beta blockers before looking at a picture like that, to stop my heart from racing. Heart attack risk! -

Hamerica, I need that Vector. It has rendered me sleepless nights, lol. I'll send you a self addressed envelope, (a big one), with 350 init and you can put in there and return to sender -
My band mate back in the 80's bought a Washburn Vee with a tremolo like that. Hell, I didn´t know they where called a Wonderbar until I saw a post here on the HFC some time back. We could never get that tremolo system to stay in tune. And the guitar was not cheap. I think we messed with it for two weeks and then returned it to the shop. He bought a pretty nice Larivee with EMG singlecoils and an original Floyd instead. That guitar was about the same price, but about 400% better quality. Washburn, yeesschh, never treid a good one. Didn't know there actually was players out there who actually thought they where good.

You can't buy NOS tubes from the 60's for 300 dollars a pice for a solid state amp. That totally proves that they are no fun Seriously, for clean there are solidstates that are awesome. For dirty I have not yet played one that can match two or four red hot overdriven EL34's spitting out hell and fury that will kill newborn babies and call upon rain and thunder and the true Gods of Valhalla to send their wrath up on man.

Wraping the strings around the tailpiece may in time cause the chrome to crack and will leave ugly marks. But it's zakky Wylde style, so if you are a tough guy go ahead I prefer to leave the posts a bit up. This is the way Hamer's sets them up from factory I believe. They usually do an excellent job. It's also the way my tech does it. Ad lib guitars in Sumpan. They are pretty damn good at setting up guitars so I trust their judgement. -

It's not a problem. Just raise the two back posts a little. They do not need to be screwed all down. Gibson's usually have the same issue when all down. -
Are you happy with the POD live? A friend uses his POD for everything. When I saw his band live last week I thought it sounded a bit unexciting. I reckon a non guitarplayer would not notice, but I really missed a good tube tone. It sounds very controlled and nice with the POD. Then again Meshuggah uses POD´s live and their sound is far from nice and controlled, lol.

We are all fanatics here in Stockholm. Some of us are also Hamer fanatics Welcome aboard Sentinel. I think we are about four, five Swedes here on the HFC. Perhaps even more. Nice Monaco by the way. Now let me know your address so I can come and relieve you of the burden of owning such a fine instrument. I will even give you 350 for it -

As cool as Standard gets. Congrats. You will be king with that one on your belly. -
He, he. Ran in to this old thread from a year ago regarding the same thing. P90 information on Hamers

It should not affect value if the person buying the guitar buys it because he wants to play it. If it is a collector then it might... but if the guitar is in need of a re-fret then it will probably not be in mint condition when it comes to other parts either. Personally I think it's just bollocks to hesitate to do re-fret just to keep the value. Its an instrument damn it. It should be played. And if it is a good instrument then it has been played much. And if it is played much it will eventually need a re-fret. I've refrettet two of my old 79 Sunbursts. They were okay guitars before, now they are killer guitars. Better for me!

Yummy! It seems to have that same vintage yellow tinted clearcoat as the ltd series of Korina Standards and Vectors from the mid 90's. Its SOOO much cooler looking than just plain clear coated korina, the way they do it now.

You lucky sod. Post pics.
