Are you happy with the POD live? A friend uses his POD for everything. When I saw his band live last week I thought it sounded a bit unexciting. I reckon a non guitarplayer would not notice, but I really missed a good tube tone. It sounds very controlled and nice with the POD. Then again Meshuggah uses POD´s live and their sound is far from nice and controlled, lol.

Monaco Elite history? Elite owner stories?
Disturber replied to Sentinel's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
We are all fanatics here in Stockholm. Some of us are also Hamer fanatics Welcome aboard Sentinel. I think we are about four, five Swedes here on the HFC. Perhaps even more. Nice Monaco by the way. Now let me know your address so I can come and relieve you of the burden of owning such a fine instrument. I will even give you 350 for it -
Custom Order Arrival-Peedenmark's Spalted Standard
Disturber replied to elduave's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
As cool as Standard gets. Congrats. You will be king with that one on your belly. -
He, he. Ran in to this old thread from a year ago regarding the same thing. P90 information on Hamers

It should not affect value if the person buying the guitar buys it because he wants to play it. If it is a collector then it might... but if the guitar is in need of a re-fret then it will probably not be in mint condition when it comes to other parts either. Personally I think it's just bollocks to hesitate to do re-fret just to keep the value. Its an instrument damn it. It should be played. And if it is a good instrument then it has been played much. And if it is played much it will eventually need a re-fret. I've refrettet two of my old 79 Sunbursts. They were okay guitars before, now they are killer guitars. Better for me!

Yummy! It seems to have that same vintage yellow tinted clearcoat as the ltd series of Korina Standards and Vectors from the mid 90's. Its SOOO much cooler looking than just plain clear coated korina, the way they do it now.

Just out of curiosity, (Im not interested in bying this particular guitar). How does these guitars sound compared to a Daytona or T62? Are they brighter or do they have a strat sound to them? Or are they just for shred type of playing? They sure look nice and purty. disturber -
Songs that "stopped you dead in your tracks"
Disturber replied to Willie G. Moseley's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I had to stop the car the first time I heard "Motorcycle Emptiness" by the Manic Street Preachers. That guitar riff is one of the greatest ever, so is the song. It's up there with Bowie's "Life on Mars" which by the way also is one of those songs that made me stop dead on the spot just to listen the first time I heard it. Edit: As a horny testosterone filled teenager I heard the song "If I was your girlfriend" by Prince for the first time on radio. It got my complete attention. I was wondering what the f*ck that was all about. He singing in falcetto and tape pitched etc. I had never cared about Prince before, but from that moment on I was a complete fan. It was the coolest thing I've heard ever & it was about getting girls and getting laid, so much I understood. -
The Steve Stevens II Custom Snakeskin finish. Snake Plisken style, (he ain't dead yet).

I have never heard of them, but if a band is calles WEZZER then they must be really cool. My vote is on them. Are they a German metal act?

some Marshall jcm 800s are cheap?
Disturber replied to Jimbilly's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I personally think the cabinets for the JCM800 and silverjubilee 1x12 combos are too small. They sound a bit tiny compared to other 1x12 combos and don't spread the sound that well. The JCM800 2x12 combos such as the 50w 4104 model are just killer. -
Happy New Year! May 2006 be a good Hamer year for everyone. One new Hamer for me this year, the 1986 Sunburst. Which Hamer's did you get this past year?
-
Nice FLAMES. But it shoulda been bound! I don't like colored fretboards. Looks very 80's. Don't remember which brand sold really cheap guitars with fretboards like this in the 80's. Aouch.

One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back
Disturber replied to elduave's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I got the new album. On VINYL too. It rocks. Not as good as the first one but it's still cool and I think it will be a party starter this winter fer sure. Now I got to get me one of those Marshall 4104's that Justin used on solos on the last album. Killer guitar sound. -
Need some cleaning advice pleeb!!
Disturber replied to SirDouglas's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Try using a light car finish polisher. You aply a thin layer to the finish and let it dry. Then you polish it off. Not only does it remove scratches & small dents it will guaranteed remove all yucky stuff as well. I had a pretty nasty SS1 that was a pain to clean up, but with a bottle of some sort from Turtewax it finally worked. -
Kahlered Standards, or any ol Kahlered vintage Hamer. Kahler tremolos in general. edit; Serial's pastel colored Vee's and Korina Artist guitars

Best thing you've gotten from an HFCer
Disturber replied to MCChris's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Serial send me a tape I was looking for. Serial & Greg has given me some great advice on Hamer's. Wyldbil sent me some original strap buttons for my ol Sunburst, thanks! Greg sent me original pickups for my Standard, (alright I had to pay the bastard). Also, replies FROM A LOT OF HFC'ers to my various stupid posts regarding different gear & Hamer guitars that I needed opinions and advice on. Thanks for taking the time, all of you!!!! Many of you HFC'ers have given me a good laugh on more occasions than i can even remember or mention. Love the humour of this place! Many thanks also for the boobie pics! No thanks to whoever posted the butt cheeks first -
Yes, they sure are expensive. Not for me. I think the "original" BCR JR's & Korina JR's are cooler. Always prefered double cuts myself.
-
Yes, I remember that there has been talk about doing singlecut JR's long prior to when this photoshoped pic was originaly posted. I'm just curious if it was the pic that made them change their minds, and decided to do a Korina version.
-
No, it was not Greg. (please don't start that one again. it's getting a bit tiersome. and I would really like to know who did the pic).

That Special K & Ectasy thread got me thinking I had seen that guitar before. So I dived deep down into the cyberspace known as my harddrive and found this one. VOILA! I knew I had seen a pic of this guitar before. Save date on the file is February 2005. Posted on this board. A photoshop pic of the "Ectasy". We'll I don't think whoever did this ever figured it would go into production Who played with photoshop to create this guitar? You should get a kickback on every sold item from Hamer as you actually was the first one to design it. I bet Wilcutt, or Hamer, got the idea from here. The Ectasy: The photoshop prototype:
