its way worse for kiss because of the makeup/stageshow/aggressive marketing (and gene's big mouth). if they had dressed like every other 70's hard rawk band and never did what they did image-wise, people wouldn't hate on them as much, and would recognise them as a good band. their first 4 albums are chock full of good tunes, haromony vocals, and playing. IMFO. as far as their decline in quality over the years, i think its the same as any other long term band (stones, aerosmith, zz top, etc).

1st time i've been to southland ballroom, awesome room/stage/PA/lights. they have touring acts there too.

welcome to HFC aray, i have seen HAIR NATION's name around here, looking fwd to catching a show. my hard rawk cover band WIZARD SLEEVES is playing at the stumblin pig in mebane fri sept 7. hit me up if you guys ever need a 2nd band around here. DavidB is another HFC'er around here, his band SPANK is kickass, they are also playing sept 7.

dave just staggered home a little while ago, we BBQ'd all afternoon at the pool...

this is a great point. somehow i don't feel like i'm stealing a king diamond or twisted sister tune off the youtube/mp3 converter, because i'd never pay to download 'em (plus the quality sucks from youtube rips).
