i haven't owned all the hamers, but i've owned all the ones that trip my trigger EXCEPT a korina jr (or better yet a special K or somesuch custom order w/ 2 P90's and wraptail).

at our house its usually weekend mornings for getting busy. this is good because the today show will be on the TV, and jenna wolfe annoys me, which allows me to last longer.

so sorry, my condolences. i remember that photo, she was beautiful. are there any clips of her playing we can access online?

getting generic hustle's cd picked up by abstract logix was a highlight for me. the 1st gig of wizard sleeves (my rawk cover project w/ stike) was another highlight. my jackson pc-1 is a lot of fun to play. picked up a sweet fender SCXD from my bro monacosis yesterday, can't get over how good these cheap little amps sound. had a fun day of jazz jams and beers in his kickass studio; mike is a really tasty skilled guitar player and a helluva cool guy, thanx mike!

i'm looking forward to seeing you again B, and meeting Beth too. the SCXD is a fine amp. of course, mine has the added mojo that only comes from being on-stage with our fabulous singer/siren Ms. Margaret D (hubba-hubba). mike ok, now you gotta post a pic of her. mike, looking at coming thru the 29th, i'll call you later today.

sweet! she's a keeper, mitch. was not in the market, but this thread led my boyee mike (monacosis) to post about moving his SCXD along (he bought it last year on my recomendation when we were hanging at stikes booth at the raleigh guitar show). sooooo, thanx to you mitch, i'm grabbing his SCXD when i swing thru raleigh on my way to the beach for new years (his has a rajun cajun spkr upgrade, too!).

gets quite loud, def loud enough to rehearse. i've gigged mine mic'd & w/ the line out run into the PA; def would work on a show w/ non-slamming drummer, if you got it up barstool high & there wasn't people standing directly infront of it (narrow beam of sound disappears on a crowded stage/crowded front of club).

great amp. even tho i don't need it, i'm tempted to get another at this price (sold mine awhile back to JackC).

ya know, the prototypes upper horn isn't too gumby looking. that one would prolly look badass w/o the pickguard. are there unsighly routes under there? maybe a see thru plexi guard would help. maybe its just me, but pickguards scream "cheap guitar", and the prototype doesn't actually need one (rear routed controls, & pups mounted in rings).

ahh, this thread is an oldie but a goodie. *disclaimer; no hamers were harmed in this thread, this is all in fun, YMMV, yada yada; 1) PHANTOM (great guitar but ughh, the *worst* looking) 2) PROTOTYPE (almost as bad; any high end guitar w/ a pickguard should be ashamed of itself) 3) SCARAB (but cool in a hairband kinda way, extra ugly points for goofy neon graphics) 4) ECLIPSE (but cool in a jetsons/utilitarian kinda way) 5) SS1 (almost cool, yet still ugly enough to mention; extra ugly points for homemade refin) almost forgot these two rare birds (sorry toby); TLE & VIRTUOSO (sexy doubleneck, tho) these are so rare they almost don't count, yet so ugly they must be included; monacos & mirages are not ugly (although ten years ago i used to pretend mirages were because it pissed HHB off, ha). blitz & vectors are fine, tho i prefer hamers more original designs to their gibson/fender clones. as for cheap finishes and modifications, any decent looking hamer can be made ugly;

i dunno. take home message; get it in writing!!

actually, this year they reissued blizzard & diary w/ original bass/drum tracks, and they are geting their royalties. ps- what WAS the last hard rock/metal album you paid for? and when was that? haha
