  1. I'm guessing the cover is loose.
  2. Sorry, I thought this was a different topic.
  3. Damn, Bill. I'm really sorry.
  4. Bad Ass!! So Chris, did you find out whether the top was maple or spruce?
  5. Cold Heat is for pussies.
  6. I don't know the last time I tuned my radio to FM. It's either sports radio or CDs for me.
  7. True. I was just listening to that one this week. Really bad guitar tones. The mandolin break in Stonehenge, however, is most tasty.
  8. Pretty much everything recorded by Rick Nielsen in the '80s. Pretty much everything recorded by Eddie Van Halen after DLR left.
  9. And we also have, evidently, a bunch of people, like you, who are appalled by it, and have EVERY RIGHT TO AVOID CLICKING ON IT. But you just can't resist reading it. If there's something you find objectionable on the forum, skip it! Clearly however, a bunch of folks just can't. +1 But you should still feel free to post some more pics of your old woman, Matt.
  10. Luke's link to the Ferarri forum is pretty damn funny. Same Joe, making friends wherever he goes. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72137
  11. If Lou gets to mention Dream Theater, then I get to mention Kings X! OK, they never sold any records, but they also never crashed an airplane, still have all the original members, never recorded cheesy Desmond Howard/Diane Warren ballads, influenced a ton of bands and still rock.
  12. Yeah, her singing was pretty scary, but she looked a bit like Kyra Sedgwick - who I've had the hots for in a big way ever since the movie Singles came out.
  13. I watched because a coworker's nephew is one of the contestants (Will - the guy who sang Heros). Looks like it will be a fun show. The drummer for the house band was badass.
  14. Aww, come on. If that silver one had some tasteful boobie or unicorn engravings, you know we'd be all over it.
  15. I don't know if he sells the material or just finished pickguards, but this guy was really reasonable when he did a custom guard for me: pickguardian.com
  16. I'm definitely in. You can add me to the list that would buy a couple white ones.
  17. Yeah, I'm sure Blades can play but back in Night Ranger's heydey, he would dance around and grab the mic stand and do lots other stuff other than play bass - and the bottom end was always there. I always assumed the keyboard guy was taking care of the bassline and Jack was taking care of the showmanship.
  18. I was interested in that show until I watched last week. Looks like the singing might be real, but the rest is fake/prerecorded. The last thing I need to see is a couple badasses like Watson and Gillis playing air guitar (Blades is excused because he's been doing it for years). The one bright spot last week was Tommy Tutone's cover of a Blink 182 song. They changed it around and improved on it. That was pretty cool.
  19. This is the last thread I need to be reading. As a hack on several instruments, I already have to deal with guitar, amp, bass and drum GAS. I do NOT need plug-in GAS. Luckily, I like big, dumb, dry rock recordings. I get by OK with just the basic stuff that came with my Pro-Tools LE setup. Mainly just EQ and a little compression and verb here and there.
  20. Damn, TA, that sucks. Glad to hear it wasn't worse. Get well soon, man.
  21. Anyone know anything about "Supagroup"? Someone (I think Turdus) posted an MP3 from them a couple years ago and I still have it saved on my computer. Great tune. Just wondering if anyone bought the album.
  22. drivin n cryin is one of my all-time favorite bands. They never really made it. Gruntruck was a good heavy band out Seattle that never went anywhere.
  23. No. You should have known that blended heels are this year's P90 Duotones. You're no better than that meddling Woodpile.
  24. Here's Phoenix's Elite. Is this what you're looking to do? Edit - here's the Superpro, too:
  25. Are you serious? Carr was terrible. What's with hitting a rack tom every time he hit the damn snare? Terrible. "I Love It Loud" was his "When the Levee Breaks." Everything else? Crap. Oh yeah, I'm serious. Sure the "hitting a tom and snare together" thing is annoying (friggin Kenny Jones did that on his first single with the Who) but Carr rocked. When I was a teenager I used to watch my VHS copy of MTV's "Animalize Live" concert all the time becasue of Carr. He was really good. Plus, he's dead and what's the point in bashing someone who hasn't posted in years and isn't here to defend himself?
