If you aren't using it as a tapped bucker, are you sure the two leads that are supposed to be soldered together and taped off are really soldered together? I had a similar problem with a Duncan recently and those wires weren't really together. It caused only 1/2 the pup to work.
I've got Fralins in my Duotone. Stock in the bridge and 15% underwound in the neck. They sound fantastic, but anything would in that guitar. I've tried several brands of P90s and I've never noticed as much difference between them as between different types of humbuckers. Maybe that's just the nature of single coil pickups - that they let more of the natural guitar tone through. Or something. I don't know, I'm just a hack.
How would this guitar sound compared to a Hamer Slammer Special HB Sunburst with a YELLOW "Police line: Do not cross" strap, through a BLACK cable with a little bit of electrical tape spiraled at one end?
Dear HFC Forum: I never thought something like this would happen to me. She always seemed to be checking me out. Then one evening when I had to work late, I noticed that she was also in the office. She was wearing a lowcut blouse and fishnets...
I modded my Gotoh Cruise to add a push pull pot that switches the pickup wiring between series and parallel. The new option is very bassy and ballsy. Not really P-bass sounding, but very big. It's a nice option to have.
A Phat Cat is too bright (too much upper mids) for a Studio. At least that was my experience. I bet it would be perfect in an Artist Mahogany/Vanguard.
Pete Townshend. He wasn't pretty and his (lead) playing wasn't flashy, but he was the coolest to ever hold a guitar. Awesome player, writer, singer, rockstar... Great tone, too.
Slightly off-topic, but I just learned that a Night Ranger album was released in the mid-90s with just Gillis, Keagy and some other bass-playing singer. That's only 2 of 5 original members for a band that has otherwise stayed in its original form. I wonder what it sounds like? Night Ranger as a 3 piece is a weird concept.
It was Mother of Nutsack. Either way.... I still can't play that guitar right now because of that... hahahhahaha Other pickguards are MoTo. Yours is MoScro. I cringe whenever I see pictures of the pescrocaster. That pickguard is nasty.

SATF. A newbie once asked what those letters stand for and some HFCer (I don't recall who) crudely replied that it stands for "some A-hole tried to F me." Now whenever I see the name of that guitar, that phrase involuntarily pops into my head. Just thought I'd share that with you.
