Give it a chance-the first time I heard it (streaming on their site), I found it disjointed and difficult to follow. Of course, I was only listening to parts and FFing thru most of the tracks. I watched the documentary on making the album and it not only made sense, but started to blow me away. The more I listen to it The more I like it. I do think it's good. I wishyouwereheretoseeit! "Dear Rosemary" is great. I also love the QOTSA "Songs For the Deaf" nods on there.

Listening to it now. Awesome.

My 6-in-line Phantom has been to every gig but two in the six years that I've had it. I mistakenly did not bring it last Friday night and missed it. Fantastic guitars.

Kiss' version of 2000 Man was the first one that came to mind. Others: Ace Frehley's "New York Groove" Cheap Trick's "California Man" Van Halen on "Pretty Woman", "Where Have All the Good Times Gone", etc. Agreed with Patty Smith on "Because The Night" There are tons more.

VERY cool! I haven't been huge into metal since the early 80s-most of it bores me, but I HAD to watch the whole video-really dug the tune. Only negative comment I could possibly muster is that I don't like your guy's bass. Great performance.

it was #0105 and I ended up with it in early '98, but I didn't get it from Outlaw. Some other place in NJ-got it for @$1250 in trade and some cash. Forget what I swapped for it-I think a RI Strat and $200. I've been in Outlaw (on Rt 22), many times since my wife's family lived in Pissthataway.

I'll have to be flipping between this and the Iggles...

So did George and Ringo I believe. As for guitar on those songs, a few of them do-the Pink, Adam Lambert and Kelly Clarkson ones do and they are some of the only pop tunes that use feedback (albeit very processed).

I find this whole thing a bit interesting and even more amusing. If a guitar "builder" or "designer", whatever he is at the moment is photoshopping pics of himself spraying an already finished Tele body (of which there are countless precut and prefinished ones on the market on any given day), how would I, as a potential consumer, have any faith that he's doing $16-20k worth of work on a guitar? After my extremely poor experience with the sham artist known as "Revelator", I have less trust in someone who claims to "hand build" any Fender clone. It puzzles me that Jol would have used this as a selling point on his blog-especially a faked shot.

There's a bit more to the equation than that. Right now, guitars and guitar players don't have the attention that they did in the 60s/70s, etc.

That's how I recall it. I was often in a certain HFC member/dealer's shop when an order was denied and then again when a customer (actually it happened several times) called the dealer to ask WTF?!" when Jol posted pictures of either the same guitar they made for someone else. I have less than zero interest in anything that Jol might be making now, even if I did feel like spending that sort of coin on it. I see Dantzig Designs as more of a hobby thing for him than a real guitar business, but that's just what it looks like to me, based on no information other than his blog posts. The whole "Tribe" thing is extremely silly to me.

I don't recall any of Billy Duffy's guitars having P90s when I saw them the night before Jol did, then again, I didn't look at his Nash (and he didn't touch it at all). Billy is a Les Paul humbucker guy 95% of the time I believe. The Trons sounded great in the Falcon though! As for the market for one of anything in that price range-I just don't see it, but whatever. I think it makes things more evident who was driving the bus in the wrong direction at Hamer though. Nonetheless, I wish anybody great success in this field.
