  1. I have been asked to not reveal the source, since business is business. The brand is not for sale. They are sitting on it, perhaps it will come back as a "specialty" brand like Gresch and Guild are handled. I was the top Hamer dealer for many years, and I enjoyed a lot of great times with a lot of great people. I made some life long friends as a result of Hamer guitars, and there are no words to describe this. None.
  2. No more new Hamer guitars. No more custom orders. Everything in progress gets built, but no more new orders. It was a blast, wasn't it? Shit.
  3. Bumped, just because.
  4. Imagine that there was another one available.......
  5. Here's a Nik Huber Orca 59 Cutom Order, ordered for one of our guys. I just thought I'd show you these images that they sent me.... The ebony backplates were being machined while the images were being taken. Pics when it arrives.
  6. KISS detractors seem to always have a chip on their shoulder. THIS IS AMERICA!!!!!! Don't like it, DO SOMETHING ELSE! They found a way to write cool songs, entertain people and get paid. By 1979, getting paid was more important than the music. FINE. So now they play the part of entertainers and have nice cars. GET OVER IT.
  7. Too cheap for the pain that ordering that guitar caused.
  8. I have a customer born in 1979 that is buying 1979 year guitars.....anyone have a clean 1979 that they will part with? Email me at greg at bcrmusic dot com
  9. I'm tickled to see the BCR logo as often as I do. Thank you, guys.
  10. Duncan Custom 5.
  11. Then why post? How are you helping humanity by telling us something like this?
  12. Hmmm.......
  13. I like how you think.
  14. I have sold a ton of Gilmour sets and given no refunds. Tom, put a rubber band around the shaft under the volume knob. Problem solved.
  15. I'm not a fan, but you knew that I would say that.
  16. Finally, and that is a great outcome of this thread, Asian alder is different to US Alder or even European Alder. The same applies to other woulds woods. You could say that, but it is also not limited to the scale that you give it, and someone else could then tell you if you are ever interested in your wood, that no body should be entitled to know what type of wood they have because they may come from different seed. Different Forrest, different sound. People can also figure things out on the broader sense after they receive preliminary information. For instance, if the wood was soft maple, I would know exactly where it came from, and if it was Alder, I would do more research into different types. Not meant towards you: In my opinion, since that is what this thread became after I was advised to not worry about anything other than having fun, anyone that believes that there is no good reason to want to know what type of wood your guitar is made of, thinks is a narrow brain. There are lots of reasons to want that information other than specification nut, like was alluded to. I personally am into sound and not specs, but have reason to ask the question. I'll just add that I am not going to get an answer from an owner, which I specifically asked for in the thread title to avoid the type of responses that I received, like I should save up to buy another $1000 USA guitar, and then it will be worthy of an answer for Mr. Joe Blow no it all. Since even the highest grade Hamer imports are not real Hamer enough, then I am obviously on the wrong board. Maybe a board that has a Cort category might be more appropriate. Good day to all. I am moving on. If a stroke of luck happens and an owner happens to know, please email me at gregoryy2k@charter.net Thanks Sorry that your parents didn't hold you as a baby, sonny.
  17. I have a drawer full of Randall units.
