3x3 -
This is a Mockingbird made exclusively for the Japanese market and normally isn't seen outside of Japan. Good conditition except for a few nicks and whatnot and a good mark on the back. Great guitar as a backup or for around the house noodling. Sounds fantastic. Definitely has "The Look". On eBay right now eBay linky but $400 shipped/PP'd to any HFC'r

Greatest post ever.

Hamer never has been a Gibson killer, even at their peak production. Gibson throws more into the trash bin than Hamer currently produces. Kaman left Hamer alone. No telling what Fender will do with Hamer. I hope we get a reassuring 'open letter' from them soon. I just meant more from the mahogany-bodied, maple-topped, two pickup, 24.75" scale guitar, perspective. Something Fender just really never seems to get going very well.
-
I dunno. It does gives Fender a sure-fire Gibson killer.

Korina Vector in Da House!
Lockbody replied to LordOfTheThighs's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Nice git fiddle. One day I wanna play one to see if I like 'em too. -
Try playing punk rock/hardcore. We've been playing out a little more in the past few months, but several times I've been hit with that "What the hell am I doing up here?" feeling. Just feel so old up there. *Tell us Rock and Roll Angel - Do we make it?" On the plus side, I did have several people come up and express some Hamer love about my Standard and Vector.
-
She's beautiful. Congratulations!

Who will never be without a Hamer, or only will play one?
Lockbody replied to Lockbody's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Likewise. My '95 Standard is about as perfect of a guitar as I've ever played. Pizza day or not. -
And in reponse to the "Hamerless" thread, who will never give up their Hamer(s), no matter what? In my case, I've been through most of the more popular brands/models out there and Hamer just seems to be the best fit for me. The quality, consistient feel, the 14" fb radius, diversity of models... everytime I get something else I end up moving it for a Hamer. Anyone else?

I thought "most" went in the $1200ish range.

Your wallet and mine must be talking. That guitar is sweet beyond words.
-
*edit. I'll wait to see it* Ebony will be really, really cool. It doesn't matter though. It's a killer price for a killer guitar.

Even my wife said that was a good deal. She did admomish me though "Your birthday is officially over!"

For sale list:
Lockbody replied to bruce919's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
My wife has already caught me looking it up on HC. Someone please buy this quickly. -
Stiletto Duece II for me. I've had - a two-channel Dual Rectifier, Mk IV, Triaxis, Roadster, several half-back 4x12s and a couple of Thieles. All are/were great in one way or another, but as a former "Marshall guy" none get the ol' juices flowin' like the new Stiletto does.
-
Tom, Unless you're looking to buy a new amp, I'd probably recommend against trying a Stiletto Ace. Or a Lonestar... or a Lonestar Special, or an Express. Mesa has heard you and delivered. If you're looking for The best clean, the best brit crunch, and one of the best nasty channels Mesa has ever produced, the RK II is IT.
-
Wooooo! Roadster hijack! I love mine. Easily one of the best amps Mesa has ever made. Speaking of a half-open cab...
-
Due to the larger amount of mahogany and maple, I think my Standard Custom comes closer to nailing the LP sound than my Studio ever did.
-
How many of you have downsized your amps?
Lockbody replied to Craig S's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I've downsized, but not simplified. I've gone from a Boogie MK IV combo and (2X) 4x12 and/or (2X) 1X12 Thieles, down to a rack setup - with a Triaxis, G-Force, Graphic EQ, Carvin 50w stereo power amp, and the (2X) Thieles. Still bad-ass, but a lot smaller. -
Prayers and positive vibes.

'95? Probably a thin medium. They didn't start getting chunky to... what... 1998? -
I'm very sorry for your loss Marty.
