  1. Dispatch hungry, rabid beavers to AZ immediately! Huh, what?!? Anybody got a link? This must have happened while I was coming home and eating dinner or something... -Austin
  2. Yeah, this has your name on it: Yes it does. Unfortunately, while I think it worth his BIN price, I don't want to pay more than the opening bid. What a cheap bastard I am! EDIT: Holy shit, he just added another one! -Austin
  3. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjackzarko Someone's getting rid of their Willcutt's stash. Some great-looking guitars with cools specs, including a couple possible replacements for my chambered Studio. Trigger...finger...itching... -Austin
  4. NAMM as a whole seemed to generate a lot less stuff that interested me this year when compared to previous years. Other than the new stuff Suhr was showing (none of which I can afford ), I was pretty bored by everything I've seen. Just as well given the current economic state we're in I suppose. -Austin
  5. Happy Birthday! Have fun at NAMM (if you're going)-Austin
  6. HamStd's Watson with the Floyd bridge. Yummy! -Austin
  7. Hmm, I find that figuring a bit disturbing myself. Someone should make a metal shredder out of it -Austin
  8. Man, I might need to get a couple of those for my Strats. PRS trems rule. Mann's been selling those for a while (and in fact, the Fishman Piezo bridge on my Mirage II was made my MannMade). However, from what I understand, ordering from him can be a bit of a buyer beware situation. -Austin
  9. Ah, a Newport Pro! Cool! I wish Hamer still offered that orange sparkle finish; it would look cool on all sorts of woods. -Austin
  10. Yeah, I'm well aware I'm in the minority on that, but I just can't stand tulip-style tuner knobs (plastic or metal on any guitar. In terms of the tuners, they're just Tonepros klusons. They seem to work nice and Tonepros has them in 2 models so you can use 'em to replace vintage tuners or modern ones (with larger tuner holes). Actually, I agree with you on the Talledega. I took a brain fart/was doing three things at the same time and read that to mean that you didn't like the SPEED KNOBS. Duh! I love the speed knobs. While I usually don't mind the snot and nickel tuners, I think that they'd look better with Grovers or something. Well, good to know someone agrees with me I love the speed knobs as well. And I know it's irrational to care about the output jack, but I love the electrosocket too. -Austin
  11. Really? I love those-been wondering who has them aftermarket. Anyone have any ideas? I need 4-6 of em! Yeah, I'm well aware I'm in the minority on that, but I just can't stand tulip-style tuner knobs (plastic or metal on any guitar. In terms of the tuners, they're just Tonepros klusons. 12. Well, I got the Tally yesterday, but do to some sort of flu-like thing I came down with, I didn't get to plug it in until today (which was only for about 10 minutes. Some preliminary bservations: 1) None of the pickup positions have the beef of a humbucker or P90 guitar (obviously), but they don't sound wimpy like single coils (do to me) either. All positions sound great clean and it does pretty well dirty too (and stays pretty quiet). 2) I was worried about the V neck shape. It's definitely a very noticable V, but it's still comfy to play. I think it might not play as "fast" as Hamer's regular carve for me though. I'll have to put in some more time to see if it fatigues my hand faster that the vintage carve. Probably wouldn't be a concern for someone without my screwed up left hand technique though 3) Those tuner knobs are even uglier in person (although the guitar as a whole is better looking in person than any pics I've seen). How someone can spend time coming up with a shape with such nice curves and put those angular monstrosities on them is beyond me (and, yes, I think they look ugly on Gibsons too ). Well, that's it so far. More to come... -Austin
  13. Happy Birthday!!!
  14. Well, yeah, that goes without saying -Austin
  15. I accidentally bought an expensive amp the same way. I have a certain list of "want to play" Hamers, that I'll pretty much buy anytime for the right price, which this was. This will be redundant enough with some other guitar that I have that it will be easy to make room in my group for it if it turns out to be killer. If not, hopefully, I'll be able to break even on it or trade from something else on my "want to play" list -Austin
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290280165347 Didn't really expect to win it for what I bid, but it should be cool to try out. I was going to sell my Mirage II anyway, so now I guess I'll also be selling this if I don't like it or my recently acquired Studio Custom if I do. -Austin
  17. Talladega Pro with 2 cream P90's, ebony fretboard and no fretboard markers. -Austin
  18. Happy Birthday Chris! -Austin
  19. Learn something new everyday!
  20. The cover for the floyd isn't recessed into the body! I though Hamer did that for all their guitars with trems?!? -Austin
  21. They're yours! Just PM me your address -Austin It's yours! Just PM me your address. -Austin
  22. Straplock thingies are gone!
  23. More stuff added up top! -Austin
  24. Sweet! And, yeah, you definitely make that thing look like a toy -Austin
