ummm yeah....that is very tempting!!!! i just noticed that floyd doesnt have fine tuners????? Whats the purpose then? The earliest Floyds did not have fine tuners. And as these things often work out, that makes them more "collectable."

Pretty happy with the current Hamer stash... A few missing pieces, though. Monaco III and a nice Junior would pretty much do it.

My best score? Got this at the local GC for $699 plus tax. And it came off the 30 day police hold on my birthday! Edited to add it has a Tonestyler in place of the tone pot. Great upgrade.

Anyone want to trade tuners? I have a chrome set of Sperzel locking tuners that currently have white plastic buttons, but I have the chrome buttons as well. Will send tuners with both sets of buttons. I'm looking for the correct set of Schallers that would've come on a Studio Custom.

This. I would take 4 of them in black...1 Lg, 1 XL, and 2 2XL (if that helps with a count). If this is actually happening, I'd be in for a pair of XXL as well. (I like big t-shirts!)

I've got an old set of DiMarzios from a '78 Sunburst on the way from zenmindbeginner... am wondering how to get the most out of 'em. Was thinking about dropping them into a killer '96 Studio Custom that currently has a JB/59 set. Also thinking about trying the RS kit, though I've never had any complaints about the Hamer pots and cap that are in it now. Anything to be gained by swapping them out or am I just cork sniffing? Any experiences to share? FYI - I have a '79 Sunburst and love the neck pickup tone. I recently nabbed a used Genz-Benz Black Pearl 30 that was well under $1K. Still getting to know it, but it fits all the parameters you describe and has some really nice tones in it. Might be worth a look.
