No thanks neccesary. Joe

For me it was the lyrics from his radio songs off of Room for Squares album plus the whispering, cooing vocals. Not to mention the cutsie pie hairdo with the curls hanging down in his eyes and those ridiculous overdone faces. I don't know the guy but his John Mayer "product" ain't for me. I get the same feeling if I listen to Rob Thomas the "sensative guy" singing one song after another about being scared and vulnerable while the women let out a collective sigh. UGH. It's all been done before ad nauseum. Doesn't anybody remember David Cassidy? Not a fan of his stuff either. To me the John Mayer product is a modernized version. I just don't care for it that much. Never have. I doubt that the real John Mayer gives a shit what I think. I'm not in the demographic. Why would I be jealous? We're talking about a product here. Not a person. Joe

Not sure what this will come to in the future but I do know it shouldn't change anything for a couple of the little stores that have popped up by me. They are already dealing Fender and Kaman stuff almost exclusively. Perhaps this is what Fender wants. More small storefronts in the sprawling burbs instead of a few GC's that gas conscious people have to drive to hell and back to get to. I know it works for me. It's how I discovered Hamer guitars. One thing for sure. It beats the shit out of Gibsons mongoloid strategy. How many little stores can afford their high and mighty imbecile ass. I think this will strengthen Hamers selling point. Just my two cents. Joe

Wish I could go but I'm busting my ass finishing up my summer project before winter hits. I'll be collapsing onto the couch about the time you guys start to party. Have fun. Joe

This sounds like a group that I've seen on VH1 classic's Metal Mania. Can't remember the name though. Hint? Joe -
No Badger this time. New coach at the U of M has him running scared I guess . Missed ya for sure and it was country night too Dave. Maybe next one. Joe

Once again a big THANKYOU to Bruce is in order. Since I stopped gigging out these jams fill a void and give me motivation to practice and play. To the Belgians on the board: You folks have incredible taste in beer and headgear... in that order. I'm throwing away my lampshade and getting a La Chouffe hat . Thankyou Pam, George and Carmie for the energy you bring with you. The harmonies on "Sunshine of Your Love" kicked ass. It was good to see you all again. The Famous Volcanos sounded soooo cool with that pedal steel as did all the various groups that played with him. That really was the highlight of the jam for me. The guy is GOOD. To Rob,Ted, Dave, Sid, and all of Bruce's friends. You all are a great bunch of folks to hang with. Good times! Joe

I saw one just like yours at Willie's in St. Paul. I wanted to try it but some crotchstain in there was playing the same thing over and over at earsplitting levels on another amp and it would have been useless. ..... Anyway, cool amp. I have a Mesa Nomad 55. It was somewhat flat sounding with the stock tubes (Mesa) but came to life when I retubed it with a customized set from Doug's Tubes. It's got beautiful cleans and covers alot of ground with the gain channels (2 of them). I had heard that Mesa was having quality issues before I bought the amp but I've not had a single problem with it. Joe

They kick ass IMHO. Shades of Jon Lord and his Hammond through the Marshall but with a more agressive edge to the guitar parts. I also like the slight breakup on the vocals in "Joker and the Thief". Joe

It's not mine, and it's an R50 I believe, but it's is a kick ass amp. I'd own one in a minute if I had the cash. Eric would be glad to tell ya more. He's it's love slave. ERRRIC!!? Joe

I agree with JohnnyB. Give the guitar to Bruce Almighty, he deserves it. Joe -

The White Stripes: Is this band a hoax?

Seven Nation Army FILLS the dance floor every time we play it but it just hasn't grown on me. Jack also showed up in the movie Cold Mountain in a funny looking hat so maybe George Harrison is right. Joe
